    credit card necessary, undo

    • Use an old prepaid Coles mastercard with zero balance. I use it more than my normal card.

Belong Mobile $20 you can get 243GB 2 Months if you activate by 6 December.

I'll stick with my free data with Woolworths with once a month 10% offer.. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/668911

    • +1

Good deal, but the 10% discount doesn't start straight away. It's after 45 days.

Also if you shop @ Aldi you pay 10% less to start with.

      • +1

the 10% off is good when things are on special and you stack the discounts.

      • +2

it starts next month.. I have been activating mid month and get the 10% early next month.

The brand choices I have in Aldi is limited. I also work mainly on half-price specials and they are better than Aldi everyday price.

      • I ported the number in on 04/11, I got the offer two days ago.

      • If I shop at Woolworths, it's 2 minutes away and they stock everything I want.
If I shop at Aldi, it's 20 minutes away and I still have to go to Woolworths to get some items anyway.

      • I have 2 Woolworths stores closer to me than the nearest Aldi - which is in the same shopping centre as the 3rd closet Woolworths. Added to which Woolworths has a much larger selection of goods, which I need to go to or Coles to buy. Any money saved, if any is wasted on petrol by driving the extra distance.

This will be my 2nd free sim card in 2 months with the 10% off shopping + fuel voucher + reward points.

But that is just my personal experience. Others are different.

P.S. I do love the watch deals you post. Keep up the great work.

    Optus network.

Ah, so it's as slow as their delivery service.

    • Delivery service is good if you pay premium… I get upto 90Mbps with Optus.. be in the right place at the right time to be winner with Optus.

      • +3

be in the right place at the right time to be winner with Optus

Funnily enough that's also how Australia Post works. Except even when I am at the right place at the right time, I get an "attempted delivery" card.

You have to be in the right place with Optus too. Newly developed areas even in Sydney have crippling speeds. Regionally it's quite hopeless. Of course an established area in a major city can get up to 90Mbps. Even Vodafone can do that.

  • +1

Would this give access to 5G speeds? If not, I'll likely just stick to Aldi's $25 plan with data rollover.

  • Better than Vodafone if that is an endorsement.. ..

You answer your own question in the second line!

  • +3

Why is Aust Post in the mobile communications marketplace? Can't they just concentrate on their core business and improve that service?

Maybe we should go back to pre-1975 when the PMG controlled both communication streams.

      Data collection?

      • +1

This. Building a comprehensive customer profile. Physical mail, digital identity, mobile phone calls, texts & data..

    • +2

Nah they suck at delivering mail so instead of fixing it they are just moving to something else

  • can anyone help out because im trying to help out a neighbor. he only needs a temporary sim until he gets things sorted out with his nbn and this looks like this will do the job.

    i have some questions:
    1. is this a postpaid or prepaid plan?
    2. is credit check required?
    3. which forms of id verification is accepted? (my neighbor doesnt drive anymore and his passport is expired)
    4. whats the cancellation process? so any hoops he needs to jump through?
