Hi all,
Would anyone be keen on a meetup on Sunday 19th December for 1pm lunch?
Mack daddy is closed so I was thinking of Chimek (fried chicken) in Northbridge for easy access and free CPP parking
Let us know in the poll if you're in. (ideally sooner than later so Scotty can organise t shirts)

Edit:
It is now CONFIRMED and the location is Varsity Northbridge - 94 Aberdeen St, Northbridge WA 6003
The spend cap is around $25 per person including drinks

Update 17/12
Ok everybody. This is the latest update.
They have kindly accommodated the last minute catering order and I have PAID for the food (thanks Scotty)
It is booked under "OZB Birthday"
Food to come out at 1.15.
There will be fries, chicken wings, beef nachos, 4 pizzas in which ONE pizza is vegan meat.

We are in the Sun room.
Update on drinks - i will start a bar tab with the remaining funds. It should work out to roughly 1 drink per person.
If u want more than 1 drink, please buy your own so its fair and everyone can have a drink.

Just a reminder it is a licensed venue so if you're under 18, please bring a guardian along (Please PM me as that affects numbers)
Please dont smash the place otherwise Scotty will get the bikes to come for ya.

Given its a bit late, i dont know if the t shirts will arive on time. There are no more mediums left.

    Sounds good, I'm in (with either date - no preference) - it looks like Chimek is wheelchair accessible from Google streetview - can anyone confirm?

    Hey guys, I think chimek northbridge is closed on Sundays so I think 18th will be the only available date if you want to have it there

        Any suggestions? Ill change to varsity Northbridge and can get pizzas, chicken wings, nachos. It's getting late so I don't know if I can get a booking

    Just an update: it should be going ahead now we have the numbers. Ill change it Varsity Northbridge (which is open on Google maps). We can get pizzas, wings, nachos.
    I'll prolly need to call them by tomorrow to check if they can accommodate us.

    If anyone has any other suggestions, let me know

      There's Hoodburger and all the other vendors in Old Shanghai - that should cater for most food requirements (except for maybe Gluten Free) - not sure if we can reserve space though, which could be an issue.

      Unrelated to this but I completely missed that with Chazzozz's meetup. With how much people were talking about checking in I assumed it was the COVID check in required everywhere :/

        Chazzozz manually checked everyone in afterwards so everyone still got the Not a Bot badge for that event. Fortunately it was a small meetup.

    Gee I wish I could have come along. Had an eye appointment that made it difficult.

    Maybe we can set a date for next year by end of January. I’m hoping to be travelling for nearly three months and probably won’t be able to make it. But if the date is set, those of us who are interested can put it in our diaries.

      I think part of the issue was the other event that was being organised, was cancelled due to lack of numbers, so this one didn't have as much time to be put together, mmd can probably correct me on this, if I'm wrong.

        Sounds about right. The one schedule last weekend was cancelled cos I think the OP posted it but then didn't have time to organise venue etc etc. Noone took over and I couldn't cos I was away.

        I enjoyed organising it so don't mind doing it again next year. Maybe a sit-down restaurant Asian restaurant next time?

          I think that if things are organised early enough, we should be able to get decent numbers. November sounds like a good idea, December can be a bit crazy with stuff going on before Christmas for people and kids on school holidays which might complicate things too. Would be happy to come along to more, as long as the venue is wheelchair accessible (entrance and bathroom facilities are both important here).

    Hi all, ozbargain shirts has arrived!
    Can someone who work/live in more central location help distribute them?
    There is plenty of T shirts and bags so even if u didnt attend the event, pls come grab one.
