    The coffee isn't really any better than the original pods, and still very lacking compared to grinding the beans yourself. The vertuo pods are also much more expensive, and harder to find compatible pods from other companies.

      Maybe for a single shot the difference not that great, but for double shot and for a long black they are far superior IMO.

      They are barcoded to restrict use of non-nespresso pods

    Good deal but the only issue i have with all these machines is you can't get after market capsules - you are locked in to paying Nespresso's rates which are currently $1.20 a cap.

    • This, there are no aftermarket capsules from other brands. I've been down this road, and luckily for me, the machine broke. Likewise buying the refillable capsule defeats the purpose of getting specifically barcodes capsules.

  • Why not subscribe to Nespresso for free coffee machine anyway. I personally prefer the original pods
