Alternative to ShopBack for IKEA Discount

So I'm about to buy about $3500 worth of kitchen from IKEA, and I was wondering are they any other avenues for discounts on it apart from ShopBack? I have purchased two of the 4% off gift cards from them, and they were both duds. I'm currently out $120.

I know I don't qualify for the IKEA's own Family $300 Kitchen Bonus Reward Card, or the $250 interest free cash back when financing $5,000 - $7,499.

I've already done pretty well getting a ton of second-hand stuff from As-Is, Facebook Marketplace and Gumtree. But this is the last push to complete the shopping list.

What are my options?

  • According to the Discounted eGift Cards wiki can get 5% off at Suncorp Rewards or Reward Gateway.

Can also get 5% Ikea eGift cards off via Maxxia Rewards if your employer has an agreement with Maxxia for Salary Packaging or Novated Leases.

    • I have zero credit score, because I've never had a credit card or a loan, so a lot of those aren't possible for me. But I can check if any of my friends' employers have the Maxxia thing, that's news to me.

That sucks! I have got many IKEA GC from SB over the years and all of them worked in store.

    Hi @Autumn Hedonia,

This definitely should not be happening.
If the cards are still faulty, could you please reach out to me via DM (I cannot initiate DM's as a store rep account).
I'd be happy to get our team onto this right away.

    Cheers,
    GYB

    • Hi ShopBack,

I'm having the same issue. Ikea gift card is a PITA. DM'ing you

  • Redeem Your Gift Card do 6% off [less $1 fee]. Bank payment only.

    • I saw that one on the master gift card page, but I can't seem to get it to work. The site looks… broken? It says "REDEEM YOUR GIFT CAR" and asks for a promo code up front, which I don't have. I can't even sign up to log in. The site itself says "click shop, locate gift card" - but there are no gift cards available to me. Really I have no idea how I'm meant to use the site. Am I missing something here?

Yeah - was confusing for me at first too. Head to their main website: https://shop.redeemyourgiftcard.com.au/ and enter the promo code SHOPPER [must be in caps I think]. That will let you into their gift card page. You can find IKEA gift cards in there. Then you make the purchase, which sends you an order confirmation email with bank deposit details.

The site looks a little dodgy but I've done $2k worth of IKEA gift cards last month, $6k worth of Plush gift cards in July and $8K worth of Harvey Norman gift cards earlier this year. They are legit.
