Was browsing MWave and run into this promotion. Good time to join the FFXIV community especially with the oceanic servers opening up in February.
The complete edition includes all expansions and 30 days play time, after that you will have to subscribe which costs roughly $17~AUD a month for the entry level plan.

  Notes:

  You don't have to really pay for anything until you finish all the content up to the first expansion. Main scenario quests (ie. The main storyline) up to there is quite a bit of content, so you may be better served not redeeming the code on the MogStation (Obviously redeem it from Asus before 10/02/22) until after you finish up Heavensward. Note that there are some restrictions around social interaction on free trial (Can't send party invites, no whispers, market board etc.), but you can always work around the inability to party with a friend also on trial by asking someone nicely to form the party for you.

  You cannot redeem this on a Steam account. Use the client download on the website. Please, for the love of god do not start playing FFXIV on Steam and then try to redeem this. Please no. Stop.

  Windows/Mac/PS4/PS5 licenses are separate. Actual insanity from Square Enix (You can upgrade PS4 licenses to PS5 licenses for free though, I believe.). I don't know who actually owns Mac licenses for FFXIV, but good luck to you.

    lol I own a Mac license. It actually runs pretty good on my late 2015 iMac, if anyone is wondering about that. Fans are a little noisy, but Im able to play for a few hours each session with no issues.

    I agree re the massive amount of free content in this game. Played for months before reaching the point where it was necessary to subscribe.

    Also, Oceanic servers starting early next year with free character transfer when it opens. woo!
