    if you knew how much markup that was on cost, you'd soon realise those stores are;
    a. putting people out of business.
    b. non-existent when issues arise

      Issues arise is a manufacture problem not a seller problem.
      Also Fujitsu is price depending on QTY purchased, so the mark up on cost will vary depending on store to store and how much you bulk order fyi.

        yes, i understand how it works but a lot of people also do not know how to correctly size a split so if it's undersized or the item is a DOA low-cost wholesalers would wipe their hands of any issues. And yes, I deal with Fujitsu directly so i know how they and many manufactures work. Volume discounts of 5-15% here and there could be outweighed by storage costs if items are slow moving.

    for standard ground level rule of thumb is $600-800

    $500-$600 if you get an electrician to do it and it's standard with 3 meter of pipe.

      specifically you would need a sparky with a Refrigerant license if you want to cut out the plumber.
