FedEx TNT - Sorry we missed you? How does it work?

Hi everyone,

I had a parcel attempted delivery to my house yesterday morning and TNT left a Sorry We Missed you card advising that my parcel was being taken to a TNT Local exchange.

The issue is, I have no idea where the parcel has actually been taken? When i look it up online all I am told is that its "In Transit" but at no point did this update with details as to where to pick the parcel up from.

I have tried calling them and emailing them but with no response so I have no idea what to do. I went to the local pick up spots and they have nothing in their system to suggest they have my parcel.

Can anyone tell me if they have any experience with this and if it took a day or so for the parcel to actually be available for collection? Or was it available the same day. I'm just worried its hidden in the back of some guys truck.

    I had this happen last week. I got a text message later in the day telling me to pick it up from a local newsagent.

        Same thing happened with mine. SWMY card didn't have a location and tracking said in transit.

        Got a SWMY text message at 11:15am, then a text with parcel pickup location at 5:50pm, so obviously when courier has finished their rounds.

        How does a phone work ? Maybe try again later, just like back in the day.

    The driver may not have returned to their drop off/pick up depot until this morning and the parcel could not be logged as undelivered until then.

    You'll probably receive a notification sometime today as to your pickup options.

    As in you didn't wait long enough on hold when you called them?

    I called them for a similar issue a week ago and waited for about 15min on hold until I got through to someone.

    I ended up going and collecting it from their facility in Erskine Park.

    They're pretty useless.

      Yeh I was on hold for 40mins before I gave up.

      Looks like I'll just wait for them to send me something.

    last time i had a missed package from TNT, it went to my local 7-11 and i had to enter this code at a locker. The time before that, it went to a local newsagent

  • They usually don't even try to deliver and send these sort of messages.

  • Happened to me too. But I got an sms a few hours later saying where they’ve dropped it off.
