I got the Sav Blanc deal. It was delivered to me after ordering on a Fri night and I got it interstate on the Sunday afternoon. I'm happy to buy and enjoy their wines time after time. Great quality and service.

    • Thanks Wade. Hope you're enjoying the SB! Perfect Test Match weather for it! Cheers! RD :-)

I got these two a couple of weeks ago:

    • Lakeside Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 Dozen ($98)
    • Hardys Crest Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 SEA 12x750ml ($56.88)

The "Crest" tastes like a 30$ bottle
The "Lakeside" tastes like a 6$ bottle

I felt bad giving this crap away

    • Sorry to hear of the disappointment. I would have hoped you'd reached out to us directly to air those concerns but happy you have done so on here instead.

Your thoughts on the Lakeside Cabernet 2019 are interesting. It's just been named in the Top 100 wines of 2021 by one of the world's most influential wine magazines, Wine Enthusiast.

Only 5 Australian wines, only one South Australian wine - this one. You can read more about that and why Costco in the US Midwest have just ordered 110,000 bottles of it here -> https://bechardy.com.au/blog/lakeside-cabernet-sauvignon-201…

Guess it's just not to everyone's taste.

      Cheers! RD :-)

      • I appreciate the reply, great to see that they're turning over some descent volumes … sorry about the criticism, i didn't reach out because wasn't looking for a refund, it just wasn't very good - maybe being in south australia and being surrounded by great wines, my tastes are a bit different - i want an easy to drink quaffer and more complexity when i'm feeling classy :)

Vivino gives it 3.6 out of 5 which seems more accurate

        • Thanks for the reply. Please don't apologise for your critique - you know your palate better than anyone.

You're right we are surrounded by great wines and the Hardy family have been making many of them for around 170 years.

And sure on Vivino 3.6 from 39 reviews. Crest 3.5 from 1,520 reviews.

What is also accurate is Top 100 Wine Enthusiast, 2021.

Thanks for your perspective. Have a great weekend. Cheers! RD :-)

    • ^ this guy lol
An easy to drink quaffer when not classy sounds about right

    • You paid $98 for a dozen and claim it tastes like $30 wine aka WINNING.

You paid $56 for a dozen, and say it tastes like $6 wine which is still more than you paid per bottle.

      What's the complaint? 😂

Btw no one has rated the 2019 on Vivino, the latest vintage reviewed was 2018 I believe.

Some people don't enjoy Petit Verdot, it could be because it's a blend somewhat.

That's wine for you tho, plenty of $40-70 bottles which are rubbish and then you see what the Chinese were paying for some of our wines 😬😬😬

      • hi Adelv. I think you've mixed up Weezlebub's claim. His point was he felt that Lakeside Cabernet didn't stack up to the Hardys Crest. One of the wonderful things about wine is its subjectivity. Everyone likes different things. This one didn't meet the approval of Weezlebub but has done countless others globally. All good. Enjoy the weekend. Cheers! RD :-)

        • Yup, I misread it.

          Fair enough!
