    The Qantas Earphones.

    • Nope I purchased from them and they cancelled my order. But thank god they did.

      • +4

I think what was meant that every Qantas corporate flyer is wearing these earphones.

  • +1

They do fall out pretty easily, battery life isn't great and call quality is a bit rubbish but for music and flying they are excellent

is flying even a thing after 2020?

I'm booked June for an around the Rona world ticket

    • I've had them for 2 years now. 100% agree.

Haven't touched them in a year or so since I got my Sennheiser momentum tw2 as they are significantly more comfortable

Don't do it. I got these and it's no better than the $30 pair of Soundpeats I got from Amazon.
Firstly, if it's at all windy outside, you WILL hear it.
Secondly, the touch features only work 50% of the time at best. Touch twice to skip a track and they might switch off instead of skipping the track. And that's if it registers the touch.

    • Thanks. saved me the trouble.

    • What are some good soundpeats to get? Thanks for the advice

      • +1

I got the S2, bulky compared to a lot of other but the anc is nice. For the price, sub $80- you can't go wrong.

Just not supported on their app.. but not a deal breaker for me

Sound pears are great but not for flying. 0/10 vs 10/10. If noise cancellation isn't important then soundpeats are legit

    • +1

I agree. And the $30 soundpeats punch above their cost tier

  • I have been using the Sony WF-1000XM4 for the past week. My biggest gripe would be the ergonomics. If you plan to wear these for a long time, don't bother.

Battery is great and sound quality is ok. IMO you can find better earbuds for cheaper.

    • Thanks I always wondered if I chose wrong by going AirPods Pro’s instead

      • Confirmation bias

  • noise cancelling is great on the planes, i do agree they fall out easily while gymming/running, but not on walking. sound is great. had them for 1-2 years now. bought them full price too. don't have problem with battery life but i use them for short period of time 1-2 hours.

  • I had these originally but moved to Airpods Pro (despite having an android). Despite having slightly better audio quality - I found these Sony's too big and bulky, and would often fall out. The Airpods fit much better - note I can't go running with either as they fall out, but the Airpods I can atleast walk around without it falling out.

can you use airpods with android? didn't know that

      • It's just Bluetooth; nothing more. Can't tweak what the touch controls do though without a third party app on the Play Store.
I use AirPods with my Samsung, works perfectly fine. No problems at all.

  • I picked these up the other day in a bit of a roll of the dice. I haven’t found an IEM that fits me well in a long time and basically gave up on them.

Amazingly these fit really well and are about as comfortable as an IEM can be. They sound great too.

They stay in while walking but I don’t love using IEMs while walking anyway because of the thud you get on foot fall.

Newer revision comes with more silicone tips for tiny ears which was a common criticism on release.

  • It's completely OOS for WF1000XM4 in Officeworks. Tried to price beat with Harvey Norman $348 to get $330.6. But no luck there. The JB hifi peeps might do a price match, but I had a hard time getting them to even lower the price, at least at my store.

XM3 are over $50 less refurbed for those interested.

  • Worst pair of headphones i ever owned, paid $240 2 years back. Constant issues when connected to windows for calls etc for work or even watching Youtube videos at home.

If you skip the video, Bluetooth connection disconnects.

This is even though i have updated the firmware and tried all the tips etc to get a good connection.
