Boost mobile old expires soon

I been using boost for few years and earlier this year myself and wife got emails to get $50 there $200 plan.
Wife did her one back in oct and mine is due to expire midnight tomorrow.

I have went on live chat asking where my updated email is for this offer. Im sure sure with wife she got a link and paid then.

But I have not had this guy on live chat said there was no offer on my account showing so I sent them the email I got. Said he passed it on to processing team I think it was and watch for emails.

Nothing has been send, I go in messenger Facebook and they asked if I got a reference number to that chat I said no but gave the person’s email.

They tell me I need app to do so wife never needed any app as I personally paid for her one but I got app anyway and to be honest I see no such offer.

Are these clowns always this hopeless as this is starting to annoy me wasting my time as nothing gets done.

My plan expires midnight tomorrow Tuesday and im not sure what happens if it expires as they seem to be messing me about.

With the promo email I never received it as said gives me my 12 month plan for $150 instead of $200.

Anyone had similar issues and not get the follow up email to the deal.

I was in the same boat. Both accounts got the $50 discount offer and extra data offer in an email, but neither got the promised follow up email. When going to upgrade the first service, the discount was offered in app and additional data added.

The second service when upgrading less than a week later got neither. I had to escalate it through the only email I could find on the Boost website after looking for 20 minutes, their compliance manager. He passed it up to whoever could fix it with copies of the emails and it was fixed with a $50 refund issued and the proper data credited.

It was poorly managed on their part and you had to be tenacious to actually get what they promised.

  • When you say discount was offered in the app as in where in the app? I downloaded my boost app and then the boost app but it’s like I’m not logged in or something as does not come up with any info ie data, balance etc etc.
I have never used the apps I always used the #111# to check.
But I would like to check see if my discount is within the app as my plan expires midnight tonight and I be calling them today to get this sorted. On Facebook chat with them one person said to buy the $200 plan and I get refunded the $50 back but ain’t the plan we was offered got more as in gen or something.
I just want to make sure I get what was offered.

50 dollars will be discounted when you next recharge… online or through the app. when you recharge the relevant phone number (boost customer during the price hike in september) where the minimum plan went from 150 to 200 per year.

  • Mine expired in September boost sent me a message about upgrading to the $200 plan then a couple of days before it was due to expire they sent me another message saying I could remain on the old 150 plan, and would update to the newer plan at a later date.

Leaving Boost as I have been unable to set up auto recharge after many attempts (inc with their "help").

  • @bwatt72 if you're still on the Anytime Plus $150 80GB plan, you can just recharge via website/link in app. and you need to be off wifi to see any dets in the Boost app

    • Yes and no on the anytime plus $150 80gb plan, as I believe they said in there promotion email that plans are as is but are also updated to new ones, like others I thought it be showing on the app the discount but it was not so they are refunding me the $50

  • Just go into the new app and recharge… It should show the discount on the $200 plan.
If not, then you might have a problem.
Getting an email or not isn't really a problem if the discount is still being applied.

    • I was having issues with app but got app working but was no discount there, I have been in chat and Facebook with only option was to be refunded the $50 back. I did say I wanted the email to pay right amount but was getting nowhere.
So purchased the $200 plan they added the 30gb as part of the deal with extra 10gb so 140gb in total and was told refund is in place 24 to 48 hrs to show.

      • How did you get the extra 10gb?

        • Can’t remember cause of all the hassle trying to get the deal i orginally was offered etc.

  • Port to Kogan/Vodafone/Optus on an el cheapo plan then pick up this

    • I might consider this next year if available but I will be looking for a cheap basic deal for Optus as I have another phone I want to set up for the odd use. Realme c3 and it’s locked to optus and I believe boost don’t work on optus branded and locked phone.
This current boost I use have been using for few years and only reason I stayed was the $50 off, which obviously I await the refund the promise.
Next year I’m not so keen paying $200 for it.

  • Earlier this year and you are taking action now? A day or 2 b4 it runs out?

    • What?

  • Just got this SMS. Xxx. we wanted to remind you that from 20 January we'll be updating you to our latest Boost Mobile Prepaid plan. Find out more about what's changing at xxx
This update will be automatic. Until then, your current recharge inclusions will not change and you can keep using your service as usual.

Think my plan expiring a week beforehand - assuming I recharge $150 and it’ll just transition to the new $200 plan? Anyone gone through this?

  • After 30 mins of mucking around searching for emails that didn’t exist (and finding this thread) I just went to recharge.boost.com.au and logged in with my prepaid phone number (no password).

In the list of available recharges there was one that had the $50 discount.

    • Was this on the day of expiry for you?

    • I got the $50 off email months ago, but see the full $200 in the app and also the same via the website. Seems hit and miss

  • I have one expiring in a week and still can see the $50 discount for recharge.

I still have the email saying I'd get it, plus the extra data.

    • The discount never showed for me or was it emailed later, but was sorted out by contacting them and was told to purchase the $200 deal and they refund me the $50 and add the extra gb.
      So I’m all good.

      • apparently the discount appears on the day of expiry I've been told… let's see…

        • Day of expiry here, it ain't appearing

@epmonp6: Then just start a chat session with them, they will confirm that you are eligible and they will process you are refund.

            Get it in writing first.
