  • Anyone know the SOC? I've been trying to find anything on it and all I get is information that isn't concrete. I'm guessing Dimensity 700 based on the price and also the GHz, but that's not exactly reliable.

      4x Cortex•A55 1.6 GHz + 4x Cortex•A55 1.2 GHz

      • This one is 3GB. The one listed is 4GB. I don't think they're the same?

      • Not the same, this Swift X 5G has a 2.2 GHz processor and 4GB of RAM.

While this is a ZTE phone and I think that that is the body for the Swift, the internals are different.

      • now you have confused people that only know mediatek or snapdragon rather than the ARM architectures.

  • -1
    • Even the ZTE page is wrong, it says 32GB of internal storage on "The Specs" area, but it's 64GB. I tried looking at the User Manual on that page, but it's for the Optus X Wave. So much unreliable information on this product, very annoying! I guess the only way I'll ever find out is to buy the thing.

  • Does it come with tin hat or pendant to ward those evil 5g waves

    https://www.9news.com.au/world/quantum-pendants-anti-5g-neck…

    • 5G. kills the omicron variant so hold your phone to your head when in high risk areas e.g shopping centres, eateries, etc …. and you don’t need to wear a mask, i’ve seen a lot of people doing this.

  • No band 5 [850 on 3 or 4G,] as per Optus's standard format of crippling their phones a little for other providers - a practice that can't be sold as a cost reduction given they'd need a special run just to do that.

It's one reason I don't deal with them

  • What is considered worse these days, Mediatek or Unisoc in this phone?

    • depends which model of mediatek or snapdragon or other SOC like holden vs ford , depends which model, not the brand ….. the bulk of people just buy a phone and use it and don’t even know what a SOC is

thing about this phone is large screen, 5G, android 11, down side is HD+ not FHD.

      • At this moment phones with Unisoc chipsets can't be rooted or reflashed to different firmware and unless that changes soon you're basically buying a landfill phone.

  • +1

Cheap 5G Wifi modem maybe on the Optus 5G mobile network?

    • My thoughts exactly
would be a cheap android anything

      looking for the wifi stuff

      WiFi: 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac at 2.4GHz/5GHz
      Bluetooth: 5.1
      NFC: Yes
      GPS: Yes
      FM Radio: Yes
      3.5mm audio jack: Yes
Other: Side Fingerprint Sensor, Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor, Light Sensor, Compass, Gyroscope

  • At this price HD+ Display.. no way. I will pass….

    • the trade off is 5G and android 11 vs FHD is the cost cutting meeting …. depends what is important to you in a $250 phone screen or 5G if you had to choose one over the other.
