This is a historic low price I believe for the S360DB. It is the upgraded brother of the popular S350DB, around a year ago the S360DB was ~$600, decreased to $499 since a couple of months ago, this is the first time I have seen them on special at this price.

These will outperform any soundbars + woofer in this price range if you have the space for them. So would the S350DB, but the S360DB have larger planar diaphragm tweeters that sound more detailed according to user reviews of the S360DB, sub-woofer performance between the two should be similar, but the S360DB comes with a WIRELESS subwoofer too, so installation is much easier for where you want it to be placed.

I own the S350DB as desktop entertainment speakers and they have been perfect for well over a year. Great imaging, nice clear mids, and crispy highs, the sub-woofer is clean and punchy too, and not too overwhelming. All in all, the S360DB should be an upgrade in every way.

  • I think this might be a double-up on an earlier post.

  • This or the S2000MKIIII?
The S2000MKIII is discounted to $399 also on Amazon

    • +2

To answer in simple terms, this 100% if you need a subwoofer (movies, shows, gaming, sports, etc), but S2000mkiii if you just want clearer audio for music only.

        this or S3000PRO?

          this or Honda S2000?

        • This or Caroma Opal 2000?

        • +1

S3000pro trumps the 350 in every way except very very low bass.

      • Have you A/B tested both personally or is this based on assumption/specs/etc.?

        • I've done a lot reading of both user reviews and professional reviews before purchasing my S350DB over a year ago. So I speak based on that in this instance.

          • @ThatsCheap: Okay, thanks for your input. I'd also be interested to hear from those who've been fortunate enough to audition both.

I bought mine a little over a year ago after listing to comparisons between a bunch of speakers from DSAUDIO.review on youtube.
He doesn't have these two vs each other but because he uses the same tracks you can listen to each from these two videos, use some good headphones.

yes, we can also smell the perfume through a youtube review too, just let you know….

  • I have the audioengine A5+. Is this better?

    • +1

I would say yes for most content, some audiophiles swear by stereo set ups for music but I think an integrated sub always makes it sound better personally.

      • Opps, I meant, is the Edifier S360DB better than the A5+ ? Worth upgrading?

        • +1

No. Not unless you want the added dimension of bass.

          • @ifreddo: Yep, I agree with this, unless you need the sub-woofer, it's not worth upgrading from the A5+

    • -4

I have an Audi S5 and can vouch for its performance

  • Thoughts on these for TV use?

  • This or Micca MB42X with Dayton Sub-1200

  • Can it switch on automatically from standby when a Bluetooth device connects to it?

    • The S350db don't. Doubt this will
