Issues Porting from Circles to CatchConnect

Hi everyone,

Wondering if anyone has been in my predicament and can offer some advice.

Attempted to port out from CirclesLife to CatchConnect 4 days ago and received a rejection. Issue was I chose prepaid instead of postpaid (my fault). Went onto CatchConnect live chat and resolved it with the representative, providing the account number etc. the port went through immediately, so quick the service switched off and ended the live chat while I was out.

Went home and switched the sims only to have no service with either sims. Contacted CatchConnect multiple times who cannot give me an update other than saying it's been logged as a ticket and escalated to Optus and they'll give me an update asap which hasn't happened.

Currently stuck in limbo at the moment with no service, anyone know if there is a way to fastrack anything?

    Issue is with catch. Not circles, i port every month and have removed catch sims from my rotation. Last time i used them port took 7 days.

    • I ported out of Circles 2 years ago & it was bad.

      But, this month I ported into Catch & it was atrocious, took a week to connect, then could only make calls, nothing else for another week, a week later they fixed the internet, messaging & receiving calls, but couldn’t make calls.

      3 weeks later, I got another number as I had truly had enough!

  • I have heard from a lot of people that leaving circles.life is very hard. I guess they were not wrong. Good on me I didn't activate their service ever, although those bloody greedy muppets did do my Credit Check (even when I never received their SIM, never activated sim, Only ordered it, then it was returned to them as RTS)

    • It seems like the port has been successful from circles. The issue is actually with Catch/Optus. Just called them for an update and they said the 24-48 hour time frame they gave me was a 'rough guide' and can take longer. They stopped giving me a timeline because the couldn't say how long it will take…

    • Been with Circles for over a year never had any issues re service, connections etc don't know what other are experiencing, maybe all the ppl complaining are swapping sims and carriers every month?

  • It sounds like when you contacted the live chat agent to port your number they may have used a different sim card number than the one you used online by yourself. Should be able to do a sim swap with another catch sim yourself I reckon
