Battery life: up to 5 hours? similar to that of a gaming laptop?

Only downside is the display but other than that, it's quite value for money actually

Few months back I was looking for a 17" with a decent display and I didn't have much luck in this price range. Can easily spend double if you're hunting a better display.

Storage space is a bit low on this one, but if it's for mainly web & office type use, and using cloud storage it'd be fine.

it’s FHD …question is if it’s IPS or TN screen …..

      • Thank you!

        Sadly a dealbreaker for me

        • Why's that

          • @upbeat: Trying to minimize additional chargers, will hold out for a good deal on a 17in with usbc charging. (most of my devices are on usbc now)

            • @misunderstood98: This is a good deal mainly because it's cheaper for a 17in laptop Ryzen 5?

              • @upbeat: Its a relatively decent spec 17in laptop for study and life admin/everyday use, although not what id reccommend for gaming and more intensive tasks

                • @misunderstood98: would you guys recommend Intel i7 over the 5500U Ryzen for programming and not necessarily gaming?

                  • @upbeat: Depends on the model of i7 and the type of programming.

If we are aiming at the same pricepoint,
and if its a type of programming that works well across multiple cores, the 5500u would be better. The i7 at this price point would likely offer better single core performance. We aren't talking life changing differences here though.
