    What’s the normal price?

    • +6

It's been selling all year for $7.

or pay the normal price of $7 anytime on Amazon…

Most food at David Jones is twice the normal price elsewhere.

            • +3

@Clear: It's been selling for $7 for pretty much the whole year…

Your price comparison of $12.95 in the description of the deal is misleading and deceptive as there is no saving on the normal Amazon price.

              • -6

@jv: DJ sells it for $12.95 and Amazon's price of $7 is cheaper. It can't possibly be misleading or deceptive if it's more expensive than Amazon.

$9.99 ex shipping at Chocolate Emporium
                $11.99 ex shipping at eBay

Fair to say everyone else are selling it for more. Feel free to pay more elsewhere.

                • @Clear:

                  DJ sells it for $12.95

                  Misleading price comparison…

                  Amazon is always $7

                  • -5

@jv: DJ sells it for $12.95. Amazon sells it for $7. 7 is less than 12.95. Amazon is cheaper.

                    • @Clear:

                      Amazon sells it for $7

Yep, and the price has not been reduced, so there is no saving on the normal price.

                      • -2

@jv: The normal price is cheaper than everywhere else. Cheapest price makes it a deal.

                          So?

It's always be selling for $7.

                          There is no saving

@jv: $12.95 is more than $7. There is a saving to be had compared to other stores.

                              @Clear:

                              $12.95 is more than $7

But this is not a deal to buy from DJ.

You just posted a normal price, without a discount and no saving…

                              • @jv: $12.95 is more than $7. It's no different to weekly Coles/Woolworths deals where the same products get discounted each week.

                                • @Clear:

                                  LOL

                                  Are you blind ?

Look at the graph. This is always the same price, $7

@jv: So what it's still cheaper than everywhere else. By being the cheapest price available it's a deal.

                                    • +1

                                      @Clear: Same price always
                                      No discount
                                      No saving
                                      No bargain…

Might as well post Coles 2lt milk as a bargain according to your logic.

                                      • @jv: Sounds like a plan. Assuming we can find a Coles 2lt cheaper elsewhere. Perhaps one short dated on clearance yeah? Since it'll be cheaper than every other Coles. Thus a deal.

Like this. Cheaper than everywhere else.

    Authentic Turkish Delight
    Country of origin ‏ : ‎ Australia

    Ummm, nope…

    • +5

There are 'Authentic' Turkish people who live in Australia…

      • +2

There is also 'Authentic' Turkish delight from Turkey in Australia.

        • These are good I guess compared to import Turkish plain rose ones. Import Koska pistachio is also my favourite.

        • +1

          I prefer authentic Greek Loukoumi

          • +3

@xc: Savas might have a good recipe.

  • +1

This is pretty good quality. I buy it when Amazon offers 12% cashback on all categories like a few days ago with CR. Agree that this is the regular price on Amazon though.

    • -1

      when Amazon offers 12% cashback

Yep, it would have been worth posting then, but now, it is not a bargain.

  • That’s a bargain I just grabbed the mix selection.

  • +3

    Usual price year round

    • -5

      Better go pay more elsewhere.

  • +4

Despite being normal price on Amazon, the post served as a reminder to me of how much my Mum loves this Turkish Delight - bought a box to surprise her, cheers OP.

    • +4

Please start a site called OzReminder, this is ozbargain.
Can you imagine if there was an influx of "reminder adds", then we would be sifting thru people's subjective views of what is a bargain based purely on their perspective, which is selfish! This site is showing a price drop, void of sentiment and "reminders".

      • -2

Coles and Woolworths weekly specials are rotated all the time. Always the same price on special. Surely that's by your definition OzReminder. You can go attack those deals now.

  • -4

Thanks clear. Despite some of the negativity here, I appreciate the post. I didn't know there was a pomegranate flavoured one, I'm quite excited to try it so I ordered two. Happy Kwanzaa everyone! 👊🏽

    • -1

I haven't tried the pomegranate ones myself so hopefully they're good when they arrive.

For the negativity the requirements for being a deal is being the cheapest available. The fact that Amazon's normal price is cheaper than everyone else's normal price makes it a deal. Oh well, it's always the same two that act this way.

      • -3

1832 posts / contributions to this site vs a combined post count of <200 for the neggers says it all. I'm not worried about the technicalities, I'm just happy to have my exotic sweets and then die-of-betes ☺️

Edit: which reminds me, jv, enlighten us of the sugar content of these sweets please

        • It's about changing the intent of ozb based on subjective reviews not based on any current change of event.

Eg someone offers me a kickback to sell an item at normal price and I go on a rant on how my mother loves it and it's just the best etc etc if you open that can of worms, then the site turns into "my product review" vs "an actual change in market", totally different!

  • +4

This is an ad, not a bargain. If it is $7 normally, then there is no saving. Otherwise there will be thousands of posts at normal price on 1 website, which is lower than other websites year round.

  • +4

No bargain to be seen here.

  • Thanks for this, I didn't know Amazon sells these.

  • +1

Normal price is not a deal

    • It's cheaper than everywhere else that makes it a deal. Unless numbers are hard.

  • +2

Good price but normal price, not a bargain

    • Being the cheapest available is a deal. Unless you can find it cheaper?

3 month premium Spotify trials are always free and plenty of these neggers will upvote those.

      • +3

When a free trial of Turkish delights is available please post!!

        • I'll buy you a box. Where am I sending it to?

          • +2

@Clear: 1, I get your point it may be great value to you, but we can't have a million product reviews at normal price!
Thanks man, I'm just eating other Turkish delights atm, we can swap!

            • @ilikecheapcrap: Except that's the thing we do have products at normal price all the time. Aldi special buys? They're literally sold at the same "normal price" for Aldi. Perhaps the difference is that they're limited?

Or perhaps many products at supermarkets where they're rotated every couple of weeks for the same price? But then over the years they're still the same "sale" price but the packaging is smaller.

              • @Clear: Boss, "special buys" are limited and we need to be informed as it's "special/not consistent availability at that price", for products that price is intermittently reduced, it's good to know. Product no price reduction for 1 year, then your just highlighting this based purely on your personal sentiment, which isn't scandalous, just means that we can all start highlighting "same buy" items as an ozbargain yeah? ie other than I love this item at a standard price for 1 year, what other than your sentiment has been revealed to us?
