Worth noting the other colours are available between $698 and $719 too.

      • +2

        That's a matter of opinion.

      • +24

Regardless of your thoughts on Apple peoducts, this is a drop in normal price and does meet the criteria for a bargain.

You need to stop being so emotional about brands.

    $650…..crazy
    $900 RRP….. batshit crazy

Who tf buys these. Idiots I bet.

    • +5

Just because you aren’t the target market doesn’t mean that there one. These are well known to have audio quality that is commensurate with or surpasses (depending on who you ask) their price point.

      • +1

i think you are paying for the R&D gone in there to produce these, check the tech features first.

      • -8

        Yeh typical Apple BS story.

        • -4

Go buy your $2 Sony bargain bin headphones lol.

          • +5

@onlinepred: While the airpods are not terrible, there are cheaper options that beat them in pretty much every category.

            • +1

@tomlikesbeetroot: You clearly aren’t into audio hey. When you get real picky, it’s all about how they sound, how your music tastes or preffered signatures work. My favourite cans are rated very poorly on rtings. It means absolutely nothing at all.

              • @onlinepred: I'm not really into audio, can you recommend another site that provides better ratings, or suggest an alternate product?
The razer opus is pretty hard to find anywhere in stock to try them out so open to alternatives.

                • +2

@tomlikesbeetroot: Sorry mate, your best bet is to listen to as many headphones as you can, look at blogs of audio reviewers that compare headphones, ones that you like and agree with the rating. Audio is very subjective and not so black and white based on pure technical capability

                  I quite like Alex:

turkz1 I think you’ve been asking too many people with hearing aids. Maybe ask someone under that age of 70. Beside that they’re ugly!

    • +15

You've previously made the same comment about people buying cameras.

Maybe buyers of these headphones are ignorant when it comes to audio. Thing is, you're clearly ignorant about audio.

People will also claim a $70 set of ANC headphones is sufficient and Bose is for idiots. A free set of headphones from an airline plays sound. If your only aim is to hear audio, then they have you covered. Beyond that there are diminishing returns.

Maybe you should provide alternatives or state why the price is crazy instead of letting your emotions toward a brand get the better of you.

Tempting, but not a fan of the styling

      • +1

How do you tell if someone has no clue what they are talking about…. Looks up.

        • +1

          He's right though

          • +3

@Bullion78: Styling is subjective. That's not hard to understand.

I think a lot of products are ugly and come with a brand tax. I also use products that people think are ugly and come with a brand tax.

    Not a bad deal!

    • +10

I am glad you agree, Mr Tim Apple.
Could you please make them cheaper so that trolls can STFU? ;-)

  • +1

love to see the fervent opinions from people who have never tried the product

  • +3

Would have considered if it's usb-C and has a power of button

    • -1

And another 1/3 off the price. And if Siri wasn't crap.

  • -8

Lol. Just watched 'dont look up'. Perfect summary of capitalism gone wrong with Apple as the prime example. That Tim Cook weirdo was hilarious! The people buying these headphones are the Muppets looking down.

    • +1

      OK

    • -4

      Cool story.

That Tim Cook weirdo earns $100-200million a year.

    • Great movie. However I don’t think it was primarily aimed at Cook, rather a mix of all billionairish capitalists. So many people, especially conservative mindsets missed a lot in this movie. You for example focussed on your dislike for Apple and missed the point of the character.
Now the irony in your statement…if you look at phone users in the States, democrats overwhelmingly use iPhones while Republicans overwhelmingly use Android. This means that Apple users are generally more progressive thinkers and more likely to care about the issues in this movie whereas android users are the ones who ‘don’t look up’

I see that the moderator removed my -ve vote and my negative comment.

Is that even allowed on ozbargin?

Thanks. Eo it looks like i ruffled a few feathers 🤣

You just made a fool of yourself.

  • +1

As much as I generally like the aesthetics of Apple products, I think they failed massively with the design of these, and IMO these are the least appealing Apple product.
I hope they release a completely different design with the next iteration :)
Happy to be downvoted, it's just an opinion, which some won't like.

This is what many said about the AirPods

      • People just accepted the ai pods over time. But seriously its a bad design. Just leaving out the cable.

People look so weird with them on but its just been accepted.

        • Yep, some people just don’t like change hey.

  • Ok. How 'pink' is this pink? Would it suit a 40+ year old or better for teenagers??

    • +1

You could dye your hair to match the headphones :)

  • If you are considering, I would recommend to try it in person first.
The sound quality is amazing but it is heavy (compare to other headphones like Bose/Sony)
I have sold mine after using it for 9 months.

    • Is it comfortable? I hear it has a lot more clamping force than say the Bose QC35s, but as a previous owner what would you say?

      • +1

It is comfortable, but really depend on how long you wear it for.
Sometime I wear it for a long movie (2-3 hours), the clamping force will start to kick in.
It is design in such a way that all the weight/force are on the ear cups instead of the top of your head.
I don't really like it therefore I decided not to keep it.
The sound quality is amazing tho if you paired it with Apple TV/Mac/iPhone/iPad. It would be perfect if it is 250-275g.

        • Understood, probably not for me then. Thanks!
