    Camel says no.

    • Cheapest*

  • Just bought this the other day for more…. Really good for prata!

    • I guess then only one side is usable as it may gather carbon on one side with prolonged use on gas

      • +1

        Clean both sides after use?

        Use it on induction?

      • I've had one for a few months now, no issues with carbon build up. Just clean both sides and put on a thin layer of oil when storing.

  • Ive got my $85 jumbuck do I dive and grab one of these?

    • The hot plates at Bunnings work fine for the jumbuck if you want to save a bit of money

      • Beauty yeah I'll probably jump on one, recommend a particular one?

OMG, you legend! I didn't know these were back in stock! I was reeling from missing it on Christmas Day on the payment page it went oos..

    • Does this have a built in battery? Know long it would last?

      • +1

Don't believe it has a built in battery. I plan to run it off a GREPRO Car Jump Starter 1500A 18000mAh which should be fine for day or an overnight trip (with pre-cooling via AC power at home the night before).

I'd be interested in your experience with how this goes using the grepro.
Keep in mind your fridge is more efficient the fuller it is, a cover would be desirable and keep the air flow away from the fridge unobstructed.

@DarwinBoy: Didn’t end up using the Grepro today on a day trip to Warburton Redwood forests today. I couldn’t keep the Grepro from going to sleep (evidently the power draw from illuminating the control panel isn’t enough to keep it awake). Having the lid open (internal LED light on), or having the compressor running it would’ve been fine, but as soon as the compressor shuts off then the Grepro would sleep.

Luckily I have a 80Ah deep cycle battery from Kmart that I hooked it up to. When running it was barely audible over road noise in my Subaru wagon. It kept a couple of Woolies $3 ice blocks frozen at -10C and I felt smug eating them in the 37C heat in front of the other peasants in the car park 😏. I also had KFC wicked wings I’d picked up on the way and a few 1.5L soft drinks in the fridge. The carry handles were nice tie down points to stop it moving around in the boot area.

    • Would this work as a balcony fridge to just store beers, wine, soft drinks, and the odd bbq when needed?

      • Yeah it’d be perfect for that, just plug it into AC power an hour or 2 beforehand. Don’t have to bother with getting a $4 bag of ice from the servo either.
