With the $15 (?!) Hoyts rewards you can get them down to $9. Just watched Dune there at 1225hrs. Visually impressive, but part 1? Lord of the Rings meets Tatooine and somekid with semi delusional obsessions and allusive power similar to some evil ring or the force.

Regardless I price compared against Norfland and Chaddy and they are much more expensive there. A good deal in a semi quiet shopping centre.

    • Yeah, covid really affected forest hill chase pretty bad. Food court is half empty, same with upstairs dining area as well.

      • No sadly it's been that way for years, long before covid. The centre has been empty (in terms of shoppers) for years, the renovation and relaunch of the 3rd floor (The Loft) did nothing to help it sadly.

I suspect it will improve as the ageing local population moves on from the area, but that could take years.

      • There’s a new mini golf place that opened up on L3. Crazy hard course

  • can confirm, its all day throughout the year. $12 or $10.5 ($1.5 booking fee included) if you re Hoyts member.

  • They should make $12 the standard price for regular movie seatings

  • Yeah don't think many people are risking the cinema at the moment.

    • Its actually pretty packed.

    • It's actually been more packed than ever (in Sydney), can never find a Spiderman session that's fairly empty

    • I went to see Spiderman at this cinema last week, it was absolutely packed

      • That was before 20k of positive results were hitting every day. Doubt it would be that packed now.

Most people just don't care - you only have to jump onto a train and see how many people are not wearing masks.
Cinemas remain as popular as ever.

  • Any codes for other Hoyts cinemas - Vic Gardens?

  • is there any way to avoid the booking fee?

    • buy your tickets in person.

      • Yeah i remember buying the tickets in person by showing them my phone screenshot a while back whgen the optus deal was going, so dumb
