    I'd go for the XL if you want more "room" to wear other layers during the winter months (as there is barely any difference between the two sizes).
    But for a more snug fit go L

  Really not a fan of katmandu gear, have had some serious bad quality in the past. My favourite was a $300 backpack that had strains come out of the shoulder pads and dug in so hard to my chest I was bleeding every time I used it.
