Needed a better rear of head support after having so much fun with the Quest 2. Saw this item recommended as a value upgrade and at under $18, it costs less than smashed avos on toast at some cafes I know!

Save another 5% with coupon on checkout to further sweeten the deal.

Velcro a powerbank to it as counterweight and you're good to go for hours of fun!

i still feel halo type strap is better as this one on the post is basically still the same like the original, ie you need to fasten it from the back therefore the google will presses against your face. am i wrong?

    • The Bobo M2 halo strap doesn't work for me, probably because I have long hair. It just slips around, so it may be a horses for courses thing. I've had better luck with the elite strap, but it's not exactly comfortable.

I bought a cheap 3rd party strap with a cog on the back that tightens/loosens it… I definitely recommend that over something like this.

I 3D printed this on the Ender 3 with TPU, works a treat.

Bought this one before. I know the price's much higher, but it's an investment to be used for a long term & an item below $50

As others have said here, this isn't going to fix the fundamentally awful design of the default strap.

    I bought one of these:

I find it very comfortable to use for long sessions. Cheaper, and arguably better quality than the official halo strap.

I have this one also. Excellent quality.

  • I have one of these. With a battery at the back as a counterweight, it works well.
However, the elastic strap slips easily thru the locating slots on each side- meaning you are having to continually relocate the strap every time you take the headset on/off. I had to stitch the two 'teeth' pieces together so there was no gap to rectify the problem.
When I replace this one, it will probably be for one of these: https://www.kiwidesign.shop/collections/oculus-quest-2-acces…
I have one on my wife's headset and it works a treat.

  • I bought this for 47 https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B09M82BGTV/ref=ppx_yo_d…

Eagerly awaiting its arrival today :)

    • got it earlier, works good and I found that taking out the face cover part of the quest makes the image soo much better and better FOV (I guess because I am able to bring it closer to my eyes) and a lot more comfortable for front of my face since its not even touching… only downside is light gets in …

anyone know any really thin face cover parts just for blocking light? was thinking maybe I can wrap some black fabric around it… hmm :)

  • Bought one like this for a few dollars on Ali Express. Works way better than I thought it would, even stopped using the halo stop I also have.

Good to see alternatives being discussed. For those wanting a DIY solution, I have one too!

Re-use an old smartphone cover made of soft TPU. Make a couple of slits on either ends as required and thread the existing strap through. The flat side of the cover should contact your head. Take a couple of thick rubber bands to secure a power bank onto the TPU cover and viola! https://imgur.com/a/AfNuHgK

The Quest 2 is 503g and the batt I'm using is the ZMI QB815 which is 400g. The front-end weight of the headset is nicely redistributed and comfortable enough for a 1.5 hour session on Eleven TT.

    • This is brilliantly creative!

  • Having gone through the cheap alternatives I wish I just bought the pro strap from the get go… It's a whole other world of comfort
