  • No stock around brisbane unfortunately :( great deal otherwise

  • Input/Output
    Input: 220-240V~ 50/60Hz 10A Max (2400W Max)
    USB Total Output: 5V⎓2.1A Max
    Wi-Fi: 2.4GHz 802.11b/g/n

    • Doesnt look like usb fast charge

  • Would this pair with the Tuya app?

    • +1

No, they’re not Tuya compatible. Cygnett have their own app.

      • +1

Which is complete and utter sh!t.

        • I wouldn't expect anything else.

  • I have this.

If you’re using a Telstra Smart Modem 2, and have Band Steering turned on or if you use one SSID for both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, you may not be able to get the power board to connect to your wifi.

When it works, it’s great with HomeKit.

    • +2

So in summary: not that great.

      • Not perfect, no.

If I were using separate SSIDs, I wouldn’t have noticed this issue.

    • I have 2 and had major problems until a firmware update to v3. Use with homekit and it's brilliant. Though you need to add through homekit first and then through the cygnet application.

  • How do these compare to the Belkin one?

    • +1

Are you talking about smartboards? Have a few Belkin SurgePlus 8 Outlet 2 USB Surge Protector Powerboard, but it is not a smartboard.

  • Bought one of these last week. Works great with Apple HomeKit.

  • Wish TP Link would sell their 6-way board over here… just can't seem to find it anywhere at a reasonable price. I refuse to get trapped in the Cygnett ecosystem again. 😖

  • $80 normal price?

Better to buy one of these from Bunnings at normal price

Sadly only managed to get one of the Arlec 5 port smartboards for discount/sellout $13. Says my local store has in stock, but I've asked a couple of times and nobody knows where the stock is :( I managed to get the display one for the discounted price.

Oh these are Tuya compatible too.

    • -1

I think the arlec ones can't be indvidually controlled?

      • Yep, sure can… Theres a 4 port where it's all on/off but others have individual control like the 5 port one.

"4 independently controlled outlets with dual USB charger" on the 4 port with USB and the 5 outlet

      • The Bunnings listing mentions:

4 independently controlled outlets with dual USB charger

  • how do these play with home assistant?

    • Dirty…

      • Does that mean they don't integrate with home assistant?

    • It could be added through the HomeKit Controller integration. Edit: However, the power monitoring information would not be available.

    • Not sure about Home Assistant but I have one and it works directly with HomeKit

  • Wasn't there one of these smart boards for $20 before?

To be fair that had no surge protection ratings, so I hope this one does, the extra price would be worth it.

  • Does it get the annoying "no response" issue like the single smart plug ? I dread going to Cygnett after my experience with the constant drop when I tried the smart plug with Homekit last year.
