  • It's a great speaker. Very well designed and sounds good as well. I bought the walnut.

    • I bought it originally for the TV as they emphasised it was designed for TV as well, but it really fell flat, and I wasn't a fan of the sound signature. I still have my ones in walnut and they do look great, just let down by the sound ability, probably more of a desktop speaker than hifi speakers.

      • OzBargain says: "Buy some Edifiers!"

        • At this prove the s2000mk3 for desktop would be a better overall and more versatile speaker, while s3000pro if youth want a soundbar replacement or hi-fi system

          • @onlinepred: So what do you use now? I'm confused, do you actually have both the Edifiers mentioned above?

@andresampras: Got hd6, didn't like them but love how they look, bought Samsung q850 soundbar and sold that, then bought klipsch the fives, sold them, finally settled on the edifier s3000pro for the TV/ hi-fi use.

S2000mk3 I got my mage to buy for their PC setup, and after putting them through their paces, I would rate them higher than a5+ and hd6 for pc use.

I sold the a5+ to a mate who loves them. Still have hd6, not being used at the moment. Getting a second tv soon and will use hd6 for it

              • @onlinepred: oh ok that makes sense then, you have actually tried out a lot of them.

lol you really have a thing for speakers!

                • @andresampras: I really thought each purchase was the perfect solution until i got them. I was lucky i got most on big sales and didn't lose too much money selling them.

I respectfully disagree. I think you should read the reviews. I have several speakers in this price bracket, I don't think they sound bad at all. They are not exceptional either.

I have the hd3 desktop speakers and they pretty decent

      I assume you're disagreeing with @onlinepred?

There is no reason for them to read the reviews, they own them.

There are plenty of bad speakers out there that have pumped up reviews based on one not wanting to think they spent poorly or not wanting others to think they are not understanding the product or simply the reviews are paid shills.

Ultimately, telling the owner of a product their opinion is invalid is about as dick as could be.

    • I bought them because of the reviews. I also owned the a5+ for reference which i also didn't like and also got great reviews. The hd6 has a very particular sound profile that doesn't suit most sources for me, it might suit dance music without bass or perhaps acoustic guitars?. What speakers did you compare it to?
