    Just bought one thanks

  • Compared to my blue switches in noise comparison what would these be like?

    • +2

Currently typing on the G915 Tactile are they aren't that loud compared to other mechanical keyboard.

If you want more quiet, the Linear are a better option but not on sale.

      • Cheers mate that's exactly the answer I needed πŸ‘Œ would it be worth changing from my Asus rog flare cherry blue?

        • +1

That would be your personal preference. The only main reason to swap to the G915 is if you want a wireless mechanical keyboard. If not, then not really worth buying.

          • @RichardL: Appreciate that, I'll choose to hold onto what I got now

        • I have linear. Its just like regular logitech keys without the trigger feel

      • I have the linear. Good keyboard.

    • +1

half the noise, more muted but still has some nice cushioned clicky feel and sound. can get quite loud when slamming them down.

  • Own one, can definitely recommend.

  • How are the media keys on these? Heard the volume one feels abit rubbery?

    • +1

Only the backward, forward, play and mute buttons are rubber.

The volume up/down is a scroll wheel.

    • They are, but you don't press them often

  • what would the equivalent cherry switches on this be?

    • +2

      I'd say Cherry MX Browns

  • +1

Gl tactile all the way. They are good.

  • I have the clicky version and love it. Battery life is great. I also bought the magnetic cable for the keyboard and my g903 mouse, really great convenience upgrade for low cost.

    • +4

Which magnetic cable did you buy? Been thinking of getting one.

    • whats the vibe with the magnetic cable? what does it do?

      • This

for the super lazy to recharge xD

  • Gone on Amazon but still orderable at OW.

    • Updated post.

  • Looks to be OOS at Officeworks too.
Says unavailable online after entering in my postcode

  • Dammit, never a good deal on the GL Linear :\

I have the white tactile TKL version and have to say you really get what you pay for with keyboards. This thing screams quality - everything works seamlessly and the battery life is just ridiculous.

I find myself checking the battery life in the Logitech program every few days and just staring in awe. If you're looking for an end game keyboard that isn't custom made, this is it.

  • I bought this couple of months ago, it's good quality product however I sometimes have virtually stuck ctrl key, anyone experience this?

    • I had something different - the tilda `~ key was only working intermittently. Took it back to jbhifi who did a replacement (on my word) and the new one has been great.

  • Out of stock online at Officeworks too.

  • Did anyone get to pricematch at JB in-store/over the phone ?

  • For anyone that missed this, I highly recommend the G613. Its just as good for gaming (tactile and lightspeed, gaming mode switch that prevents minimising tabs etc), doesn't have rgb, and the mechanical keys aren't ludicrously loud. Currently $128 or so at most electrical stores.
Been gaming on it for years and love it.

    • My G613 developed a double typing issue after about 2 years of use, and it seems to be widespread.
It got very serious after 3 years. I tried removing all keycaps and thoroughly vacuuming it, but the only thing that helped is cleaning switches by pouring alcohol into them. Hopefully the fix will hold for some time or I'll have to replace the switches.
In all other regards it's an excellent keyboard. Batteries last a year of full day use, and I love dual connectivity via Bluetooth and RF which allows me to quickly switch it between two computers.

  • Actually disagree on quality. Admittedly through a fault of my own, spilt some water (not a lot mind you) and the z key has stopped responding. Owned a corsair k95 before and that thing is a tank. Multiple spills and no problem. Shame I tried to dry the keycaps in the oven and it all got warped…yeh I'm not too bright

    • I agree the keycaps are not that amazing. They are not bad compared to a cheap keyboard, but any average mechnical keyboard has better keycaps. Everything else is great, amazing battery life, great wireless capabilities.

  • There were some good boxing day sales on these keyboards. I got a Clicky for $239

  • For anyone thinking about buying this - I regret it and will be returning it.

Certainly a lot to like, such as the form factor, and macro keys (I find them to be really handy) - but the keycaps are cheap feeling garbage, and G Hub might be the worst bit of software I've ever used.

My board also constantly loses lighting and I have to power cycle the board. It'll be going back to Amazon very shortly.
