  • the ones you've linked are silicone with a waffle pad for sauce holding not the boar bristle. Good for BBQ sauce and other thick sauces, crap for pastry work.

      That was my thought too when I read that it’s heatproof. Correct me if I’m wrong but a good bristle brush for pastry shouldn’t be heatproof?

      Any pastry brush suggestions? I bake quite often and have collected some pretty good stuff over the years but a good pastry brush is missing from my tool belt. I’ve had a few silicone ones and they’re not great at all.
