For those who missed out on this morning's Staub deal. I was in Nisbets Port Melbourne store yesterday and saw they're running a really good in-store clearance sale on Chasseur pots and pans at the moment. Could be available in other stores but I haven't checked.

22cm Round French Oven - $125.36
24cm Round French Oven - $145.16
26cm Round French Oven - $178.60
28cm Round French Oven - $186.96
I think the one in the corner is the 32cm Round French Oven for $237.56

  • The Aldi ones are a lot cheaper…

They also don't last more than a couple years. Only good as beaters.

You must have got a bad one…

        • +1

I've had two of them that do the same thing while my 2 yo Staub still has a perfect surface. Show us a photo of the surface of your 2+ Aldi Dutch oven, I find it hard to believe it doesn't have any crazing.

          • @Cheaplikethebird: We had a Chasseur that we used at least once a week for quite a few years that had seen better days so we got rid of it…

            • @jv: Yeah Chasseur has 2 layers of enamel on the internal side vs Staub and Le Creuset with 3. All made in France. Crofton has 3 layers but made in China. I'd still spring for the extra to have a nicer pot if I wasn't ready to spring for Staub and LC.

You also have the fact that the Aldi dutch oven is tiny and pretty limiting while these go up to 32cm.

  • Not me thinking it was actual oven's
