What Earphones Are People Using for Running

Hey everyone.
I currently have some SoundPeat truewings that i use for running but im having some issues with them keeping charge so im looking for a new pair.
What are people using in the sub $50 bracket for running?

  • Depends? What device is the music coming from?

    • Just my android phone via bluetooth

  • I use Soundpeats TrueAir2.

I use cheap QCY earbuds from Amazon. I sweat a lot so I don't want to have to worry about killing an expensive pair.

First pair (T2S) were $25 and lasted nearly 2 years, onto my second pair now (T9) which were under $20.

Had a pair of Truewings 2 years ago — same charging issue and looks like they still haven't fixed it. Bought a bone conduction headphones (BlitzWolf BW-BTS6) last year for running and had pretty good experience with them.

    • Out of interest, is the issue that they don't hold charge?

I've got a similar set (bought off Amazon, not sure of brand), and the issue I have is the charging connector on the right piece doesn't seem to play nicely. No issues with the left… at the moment.

No. Same issue as yours — just bad conduct design.

        • Cheers for the replies. I had found a rebadged version of what I bought, but now I know it's a recurrign issue, probably not worth buying a replacement.

I do have another pair that are similar, but a cable between the two that has a micro USB charging port. Obviously total wireless are nicer, but will just stick with these for the time being, being more reliable.

        Its the same for mine.
I go to take them out of the case and only one has charge so i assume its a charging connectivity issue between earphones & charging case

It's more like tumble turns when I trip over during a run.

My thinking is the same as @Haydos90 above…

Even as a bit of a lapsed audiophile, I've learned the hard way that the economics of high end earphones and any sort of vigorous exercise just don't work.

For me… and yeah, I'm possibly further along the clumsiness/careless end of the scale, I've lost count of the number of ways I've managed to destroy earphones over the years. Even now that fairly good, cheap Bluetooth earphones are available - so no cables to snag, abuse, or wear out - sweat and everything that comes with that tends to a major issue. I've had top-end "sports" earphones that claim to be waterproof and sweatproof, but all eventually succumb to sweat, salts, and other ear gunk with regular use.

I've go a mini stockpile of cheap (around $20-30) earbuds from Xiaomi, QCY, etc picked up from deals here. They're more than adequate in terms of sound quality for tunes coming from my phone.

Oh… if anyone has a good, reliable local source of replacement eartips for the different brands of earbuds (I seem to lose, destroy these way too often), I would be eternally grateful. The form factors of the different charging cases seem to be just different enough that exhausting the supply of replacement eartips tends to happen way too often.

jabra elite active 75t, they're incredible and reasonably priced when on sale.

    • yeah I have the Jabra 65T's I believe; they are pretty solid; good sound quality and a decent fit; even using the smaller tips my ears do get a bit uncomfortable after 45-60 mins of exercise.

    Aftershokz

  • These are good, in that they don't fall out and get lost. Also awesome for sleeping. The sound isn't perfect, but it does the job!

    Bluetooth headband

  • I think that you've got to spend around $200 for a good pair…

I use the Bose Wireless Sports Earbuds which cost me $199 from JB Hifi…

    They are fantastic.

I use them at the gym for walking/jogging and strength training…
