Seems like a good price for a unit that has mostly excellent reviews.
Note it's $299 less a $50 automatically available Amazon discount. Free shipping.
The camels tell me this is nearly the cheapest it's been.

Not completely 'smart' however you can buy virtual boundary strips to avoid specific areas.

    Bought one, goes everywhere and does everything it is supposed to do. I just throw the lounge cushion on the floor to separate rooms. It does the job and is my favourite household device because it gets under the lounge and bed (as all robot vacuums of course). Happy with purchase, probably much better smarter products and the mop attachment is way overpriced - fine for small apartment. Paid $229 in Jan last year then purchased the mop attachment later.

    This seems a far better deal with virtual boundary supported and also including water tank and mop. $269.90 with voucher.

    Edit: I may have misunderstood 'virtual boundary'. I think it still needs the strips?

  Do not buy robot vacuum cleaners without room mapping (Lidar or similar) - they are almost universally a waste of time and money.

      This is a good deal.
      I would’ve personally gone for a Viomi V7 or one of the dreame models to support Valutedo.
      (I have an old roborock S6. So I’m lucky)

  I agree to the comments above!
  Stick with vacuums with Lidar! It maps quicker and detects obstacles better.

  I just got myself a Viomi S9. Love it so far.

  Looks like the Kogan "Smarter Home" G50 vac is a rebadged version of this. We have that one (got it for about half of this price) and it's surprisingly ok.

  We have it running on hardwood and tiled floors, in vacuum mode only so far and it works pretty well. Dumb as soup and bumps into stuff, but picks up hair and dirt fairly well. Battery life is good. My parents have one running on their carpeted floors and it does an ok job there too.

  I'd personally wait for the Kogan version to go lower and buy it. Even now the Kogan version is $212 plus shipping.

    Just wondering if you agree with this review of the G50?

    The biggest disappointment of this robot is that it does NOT save the maps at all and instead overwrites them each time it cleans. Although it has a "room cleaning" and "edge cleaning" function they're basically useless - how would it ever know which room is which if the map is never saved? Also there's no way to tell the robot not to mop the carpet or rug for the same reason - it can't differentiate between the two.
    The product description is misleading as it doesn't clearly state that the robot does NOT save the map. Only after reading the support article "Kogan Robot Vacuum Not Saving Maps - Maps are not saved each clean" did I come to realise this was the case.

  Our first robo vacuum was cheap and no lidar/mapping. Waste of money, took forever, didn't finish cleaning an area etc ..
  If you can't afford a lidar/mapping one, then manually vacuum for another year until you save enough. It will be worth it.
  2nd one was Roborock S5. Just bliss. 3 years later the battery started dying, only because we used it 5 days a week! Just got the S5 Max and just as happy.
