Additional fees and charges would be from the credit card you're using. I would suggest using a no international fee credit/debit card such as the 28 degrees / latitude card, or Citibank plus debit card (many others around too!). Apart from that, just know that Aliexpress adds GST at the checkout stage, which is unavoidable.

I've had mine for at like 5+ years and its come on every overseas holiday with me no issues. Obviously if the overseas machines have been tampered with then that can't be helped, but I have been able to cancel the card over the phone when I lost my wallet one time overseas without issue (then re-sent a new card).
Or if you're talking about buying things online, I've also used it for countless online overseas purchases with no issue.
