LG 10kg-6kg Combo Washer Dryer $1198 (Was $1399) + Delivery @ The Good Guys

130

TGG price beat to $1188, sounds like a good price from $1399.

Good load + 4.5 star WELS water rating and a 5 star energy rating, 1400rpm max.
Pretty good reviews too. Haven't seen a previous deal on this.

Chinese made. Avoide. We have the washing machine and it’s badly noisy.

Washer and dryer combos generally suck.

    • but oftentimes better than a master of one. We didn't have room for both. 11/10 would buy again.
Ours is a BOSCH if that makes any difference.

Dryers can be stacked on top of the washer (assuming you have a front loader).
That is how my laundry equipment is setup.

          no shit

          • @Kaines: I just lift my dryer off every time i need to load and unload the washer.

        • Assuming a front loader and it's not under a counter with anything on top.

I have a combo which works well and tireless for the last 15 years.

      • Can I ask which one? And how long does it take to wash and dry a load? We only have room for a combo, but the one we have takes 8 hours to wash and dry 5kg load, and it's so damp we have to run the dryer again. Looking for a better option.

        • Which one do you have so I can avoid!

          • @Yamato: Electrolux. Things get clean but it takes an age. Even just a wash cycle can take 4 hours lol.

            • @janeymac: I always remember the tag line for Electrolux (may only have been in the UK) - "Nothing sucks like Electrolux". It may have been appropriate for the vacuum cleaners they were advertising, but they also seem to have expanded that philosophy to the rest of their range.

We have a Bosch Series 5 which I think has recently been superseded by a Series 6.
Had ours for about 5 years now.
Cottons and intensive dry says 4:15 but I find it to be pretty conservative.

I've got this exact model and it's fantastic. Even had no issues with a super king quilt.

    Although, cheaper here.

      That's a factory second you've listed..

      • Sorry, you're right. Wasn't aware.

        Edit: $1129 from TGG Commercial

  • Can any one recommend a good dryer please?

    • it really boils down to

buy cheap now, and it will be expensive in the long run.

      or

buy expensive now and in the long term its cheaper.

I have the Esatto 7kg heat pump dryer from appliancesonline for almost 3 years now. Its around 550 when on sale and i think it's really good for the price.
