  • Most comments on this in past deals have been quite positive.

Has anyone got any personal experience with this vs the Wanderer ones?

    • Should be identical to the Wanderer equivalent as same parent company, just different internal brands.

  • +1

I have this one, it works well. Not used the wanderer. I got it for around this price and would buy again.
One problem with it is that it doesn't fit with the wheel on in our station wagon as the handle can't collapse down far enough - it sticks up at least 20cm above the basket height. Saying that the wheels are easy to connect and remove.
It's wheels still roll on reasonable soft sand and when they are in soft sand they are wide enough for it to sled across rather than dig in.

I've used the kmart one for $50 and it's great. Haven't tested Max weight but carried a full esky and fishing gear + fish no troubles.

    • has it ever been on sale do you know?

The kmart one is a bit smaller than OP one.

I’ve got this Kmart one. Good for the price, my only complaint with it is the narrow wheels aren’t great on sand as they just tend to sink & dig in.

The wider wheels would be better in this regard… $40 better, I dunno? Depends on primary use case.

  • i bought this last week. sign in store was $99.99.

I've seen many people using these carts, and thought they seemed like a good idea to walk to the beach from our house which is about 500m.
A few days ago I saw a woman with three little kids get one out of their car, load it fully up, then roll it 50m on a path to the sand, and then struggle to pull it 100m to the beach. It took a lot of effort, probably half carried it anyway, but dragging through soft sand was awfully slow. While people carrying towels, chairs, umbrellas, tents, multiple bags, bodyboards stroll casually past them. The trip back was worse, they virtually carried it all the way back to the car park.

Yea it's gonna be terrible for dry sand. I don't there are any wheels that do well on dry sand.

    • Are you sure they had one with wide wheels? It shouldn't do that unless she also loaded the 3 kids in the trolley.

      • I saw a few people struggling with carts like this at this beach. There is basically a worn down sand dune from the car park to the beach. No little cart with wheels like this would be suitable

        • Then thats purely the issue of your local beach is it not?

          • @ATangk: Maybe it is, most of the beaches I go to have a sand dune to walk over without any properly made paths to access the beach

    • This is the case with the kmart variety unit that has wheels about 1 inch wide.
If one of your major uses will be dragging across soft sand do yourself the favour and get the widest wheels you can find.

      • It had wheels like this. Possibly bigger. Looked like an expensive model

I have this and also paid similar price in previous bargain.

It’s very sturdy. My two kids sit in it and haven’t broke it yet (90kg combined weight).

It’s manouverability is not great ie turning circle etc.

The long handle feels a bit flimsy after a bit of use.

I don’t like the solid plastic wheels.

It is also very bulky - don’t expect to fit it in the boot of your car with much else unless you have a large car.

Would I buy it again? On the fence…I’d give it 3 out of 5 stars.

Unfortunately haven’t tried it on soft sand loaded. But it’s good to bring stuff out of the car basement up to apartment.

cost price is probably $30-$40 max - can’t see how they can sell this retail for $150+

      Welcome to capitalism.

Can say the same for a Coolcabana, didn't stop me buying one though.

      • Yeah my wife convinced me to get one of these and then later found the same thing in Kmart for a third of the price

      • Coolcabanas are a game changer though 👌🏼

    • They can retail it for whatever people are willing to pay.

I have this unit and overall it is good for the price.

    2 notes.

    1) The handle cannot just be half extended, it must / will be fully extended when pulling. Sometimes I don't want it full extended.

    2) The bolts on the wheels can come off, twice I have been lucky enough to find the bolt / nut. This happens when the surface you are travelling on is bumpy and you are going fast ( I was running with kids on board).

  • Can someone confirm if this kart will fit easily in my cx5? Thanks

    • Folded dimensions:
      L52 x W18.5 x H68cm

    • I have a cx5, never tried putting it in assembled always take the wheels off and fold it up.

      Good cart otherwise.

      • Agreed. Don't know if/why anyone would try to put this in a car not folded. It'd be ungainly.

FYI this is down to $79.99 now when I checked

  • Yes, it was still $89.99 around 12 yesterday midnight. Had ordered one.

  • Had checked beach trolleys on Amazon and Aliexpress and they are not cheap. The Kmart trolleys are sold out. The positive reviews in this thread had encouraged me to put in an order.

  • Just picked one up. Easy to setup, wheels are large and moves like a pallet jack. Hauled my 3yo through the house with ease 😂 overall super happy and excited. #gettingold

Congrats, make a trip to beach or waterpark so much easier especially if you live in Noosa and have to park 5ks from the beach 🤣

      • Thanks. Yep.. so good to just chuck everything in
