nbn FTTN VDSL2 Modem Recommendations

Dear Ozbargain members,

recently i moved house and ended up in a place with FTTN for nbn.

however i have no VDSL modem, can someone suggest some decent ones please? preferably able to get from stores like officeworks, jb and goodguys.

i need it reasonably urgent, since i have no internet atm. so ebay/market place prob out of the question.

    What did you have before? Do you need a wifi solution or was the old router good for that?

      i have archer d7, previous place had HFC so nbn supplied a modem. before that, i had fixed wireless internet

        Ah ok I just have a telstra gateway (FB marketplace - $25), but a mesh system handling the wifi

          FB market place or Gumtree would be the best bet in getting rock bottom price like spackbace says.

    Get one that supports a MESH network and AX WIFI.

    From Officeworks and The Good Guys stores your best bet for FTTN are these VDSL2 modems.

    TP-Link Deco X20-DSL VDSL Mesh Wi-Fi 6 Modem Router $249 @ The Good Guys.
    TP-Link VR2800 Wi-Fi 5 Modem Router $348 @ Officeworks (price beat Centre Com to get the price down to $284.05).

      went to goodguy and bought x20-dsl, and found out my poor copper line can only sustain max of 39Mbps download :( sad face

        FTTN speeds are pot luck. Do you live in any of these places?
