Goobay 11 in 1 USB-C Premium Dock + Wireless Charger 40,000 Points Delivered (Was 60,000pts) @ Telstra Plus

20

Had some Telstra Plus pts that I wanted to redeem before transfering to another provider, saw this dock that was useful for my purposes. The delivery was very quick, received it in 2 days. I haven't received my new USB-C laptop yet so haven't tested out the HDMI/VGA ports for 2-screens setup but first impressions are good! Well made, good looking, slim/thin design for portability, good cable management (USB-C cable can be rewind onto the base) and big rubberised base for stability.

This USB-C 3.1 dock supports the following:

1 x 7.5/10W Wireless Fast Charging
1 x USB-C PD 100W (for passthrough charging)
3 x USB A 3.0 ports
1 x USB A 2.0 port
1 x MicroSD & SD card reader
1 x 4K HDMI™ port (4k*2k@30Hz)
1 x VGA (1920x1200@60Hz )
1 x RJ45 Ethernet port (Gigabit)
1 x 3.5 mm Aux port

There's also a Goobay 12 in 1 USB-C Premium Dock + Wireless Charger + Speaker for 55,000 pts, the 12 in 1 is less portable due to the big speaker and but may be useful for anyone wanting that.

      Goobay pls

      • almost sprayed my coffee on this! brilliant!

    • Haha yeah so it's not a 4k dock. Just FHD. Which is fine if that's all you need…but it does feel like deceptive advertising.

    • good for a 4K picture frame? :) On the plus side, it does do two video outputs at once, for a tri-screen setup (including your laptop screen).

  • data cables with a large magnetic charger inside

  • I thought it was a knock off Nest Mini until I looked at the description. Looks pretty useful but damn is it expensive

    • Yeah does seems over priced with retail prices around $150+, but I'm leaving telstra so it was my freebie farewell gift from Telstra with the 40k odd points I had.

lol, In one of the South Indian language "Goobay" is for a dumb person.
No offence meant for anyone, just couldnt hold back when I read the name

  • Is this charger compatible with quick charge?
I'm not sure how all that works

    • This dock does not come powered (no charger included), you need a USB-C charger (i.e. your laptop's USB-c charger or the one you linked to) to power the dock to for example enable the wireless charging, as below:

      Charger —->(USB-C) Dock —-> (USB-C) laptop.

Both the dock and laptop are powered in this configuration.

      • Thx I've only got 26k points to redeem before I migrate I was looking at the charger I linked above

  • Looking for something like this, have the points but still find this too expensive. Any cheaper recommendations please, anyone?

  • I'm getting a Unable to process your order > Based on our assessment, you're ineligible to redeem this item. error when I try do a points+payment order on this.

Looks like a good device, but dealing with Telstra to fix the issue definitely not worth my time.
