    Still require $60 membership fee?

    • +7

Yeah, they searched my membership number up to add it to my account.

Gave me false hope believing it would be something good, but ended up with a bag of goodies aimed at children 😂.

But it was free! So still had to share it.

Free for member is free for members, they don’t have to do any of this …

    What's a welch?

    • +3

      Fruit Snack:)

    • Welch's is a brand. At the Costco near me they have the soft gummy fruit flavoured snacks. I'm pretty sure the brand sells drinks also.

That’s a lot of sugar and salt. However, if you are a teacher you deserve all the treats you can get. My little brother is a teacher, he loves it but I, certainly, couldn’t do it. Hope you’ve got your boosters up to date and stay healthy.

      😂 Thanks.

I have reverted back to doing CRT teaching this year:)
Really enjoyed being a sub. Not the same pressure as doing full time, but definitely comes with its challenges.

No air purifier, mask, RATS, or codral?

  • +3

Title should be amended to include (Members) or similar

    • +1

      Scrimshaw amended. Thanks:)

Stupid offer. Most teachers don't actually have ID. And real teachers magpie stuff for free.

    • Most teachers should have I.D.

All teachers should and must be registered with the correct organisation such as VIT in Victoria who provide you with your registration card.

      • -4

Maybe in Vic which funnily is not the only state in the country. In SA, teachers are only provided with ID if permanent and if the site chooses.

        • Thats a shame. Looks like SA teachers miss out.

        • +2

Teachers Registration Board of South Australia? I’m not even from South Australia but that was a 30 second google search. If you’re not registered with them I highly doubt you are legally in front of the classroom.

    • A badge with name & site will likely do.

  • My wife picked one up yesterday. Bag is of very poor quality. It actually already broke and we put it in the bin.

  • +2

What about the free stuff in the bag? Did u throw that in the bin? P.s I’m not a teacher, just jealous of free stuff lol

  • +1

Last years bags seemed like they had much better things in them, useful things like stationary and note pads.

  • -1

all these things wouldn't even add up to $5

I get that a specially designed pack for teachers that have ID and are members of Costco is a bonus no matter what.

However I can't help but think that a more COVID prep kit (sanitiser, wipes, masks, painkillers etc) would be a little more useful than an LCM bar and a small pack of Tiny Teddy's. If one was going down the treats for teachers line, why are these kids lunchbox snacks?

    • +3

Yeah I really doubt teachers like tiny teddys or Doritos. This pack is like for a 12 year old.

      • +4

I would have preferred a couple of alcohol miniatures….but hey.

Mrs Galia from 1994 grade 3 is coming back to teach

I got one and can’t believe people are complaining about it! The mug was really cute, and I love the cooler bag. They didn’t have to give us anything so I’m happy with what I got.

    • +1

Probably for the best I did not get the mug. I have about 40 mugs and don't use any 😂

  • is that including University staff?

    • Yup - just use your staff card

  • Different but similar content from Costco Perth but it's very likely to vary between stores

Paper bag content: Welch, instant popcorn, black marker, dried apple, pen, snickers bar (mini), 2 correction tapes (??), Pocky and an A4 notepad. Apparently a few days before, a cooler bag and bottle was included.

  • I am a uni lecturer and a Costco member. How do I get my teachers pack? Do you go to the service desk or is there a pack on display to pick up?

    • Yes, just go to the service desk and ask for the pack for education staff

  • Teacher for 10 years and I've never had a "school ID"

So some schools give teachers cards, like a student card?

I mean, I have a school name badge? Is that what they mean?

    • Do you not have a teachers registration number or card from the relevant body?

    • If you teach in NSW you will have the NESA accreditation card (the purple one). Though it doesnt have a photo on it I presume they would just check that the name matches your Costco member card.

    • You could show a payslip from your education body, that's how clubs and bars validate hospitality industry employment for hospo nights (they get discounted drinks and such on Mondays and Tuesdays).
