Cask, sounds a bit cheap. Lol

    • +5

Sounds like you don't know much about whisky lol.

      • +2

Cask, goon. Was a joke. Down voters don't have a sense of humour. Lol

      • ….says the guy flexing for blended whisky.

    • I am sure it’s better than House Whiskey 🥃

    • -7

Its nothing to do with sense of humour.
Now and then there will be something being relatively new knowledge to you.
However when people are not laughing, this is when you should know you just know too little in this area, which is also fine really but nothing to be proud of there for sure.

I know exactly what blue label is and this edition is. I used to drink blue label years ago when I drank scotch.

Your comment clearly shows you have no sense of humour.

  • -7

It’s still blue label and needs a decimal between the 2 and 6 before it becomes worth buying

    • Is your neg based on your taste of whisky or the lack of a deal?

    • +3

A good deal none the less, no matter what you think of the product. Disliking the product is no reason to downvote the deal!

      • +2

Depends if you think spending over $200 on a repurposed black label bottle is a good deal 🤣

        I don’t.

        Better whiskies out there

        • I agree that there are (way) better spirits out there, especially for that coin. But that is not how Oz bargain works. Unless you can prove that this is sold at a similar price or even cheaper elsewhere it is a deal.

          • -7

            @BlueDiesel: Doesn’t make it a bargain though.

            • +2

              @resalci: bargain
              /ˈbɑːɡɪn/

a thing bought or offered for sale much more cheaply than is usual or expected.
"the table was a real bargain"

When my bil finally cracked open a bottle for a special event I was disappointed by the taste.

    • +4

      agree

    • +1

Splashed out and got one for a special occasion.

All that had it were disappointed.

It's possible that our expectations just didn't meet reality.

      • In another occasion I tried the Gold one and loved it.

    • Did you guys crack open the regular blue or the cask strength edition?

  • Just left with normal, cask sold out

    • Wow. That didn't take long but then again at that price it was a great deal..

  • What's normal price on 1L bottle?

Have 2 bottles of normal 1l I want to sell

  • Why?

      Crab juice.

      Honestly, coke no sugar.
This isn't nice enough to drink straight

I prefer the green over the blue in just about every way.

Decent deal but I wouldn't rate it a good value whisky.

    • I prefer the gold over both the blue and the green and the green over the blue

      • Me too. Gold is the best.

  • Damn missed the deal, wanted to buy the old boy a bottle for an anniversary gift.

Never had the blue but heard it’s overpriced for what it is, so I’m gutted i missed a deal on it haha.

Now to find another whisky deal that someone that knows nothing about whisky will appreciate as much as a blue label…

    • Me too but never heard of cask before

    • This is different. This is the cask strength edition. It is not anything like the regular Blue.

Regular blue label (40%) ABV is average. JW15 Green is the best of the core range, followed by the 18yo.

      • +1

The only difference he will notice is its blue label.

Got a green for the last one as he loves cheap nasty red/black label.
Was only thinking of getting the blue to cement my position as favourite child 😂

        • Haha well, you gotta do what you gotta do!

    • Johnnie Walker King George V then.

    • +2

@ El Cheepo Just fyi there are still some johnnie walker 200th anniversary bottles being sold at reasonable prices. Could be a sweet idea to give one of those as a gift e.g. The celebratory blend. Limited edition as well so get in quick.
