Looking to upgrade my crappy kmart headtorch to something more robust. Lithium batteries are getting pretty good now so hoping to get something rechargeable, over 500 lumens and water resistant if possible. Any ideas or experiences worth sharing?
Was looking at the ledlenser series MH8,10,11 but they're bloody exxy. Figured someone would have an equivalent
D25L Headlamp is a high CRI headlamp with an inbuilt USB charger. You can get these with a few different LEDs options, this is probably the best option.

I bought Boruit D10 from AliExpress for about $13. 18650 with a built-in USB charger. Simple, works very well and cheap
It's not as bright as what you're after but i like my Nitecore NU25. Relatively cheap, very light, decent enough runtime and bright enough for trail running / hiking. Has white and red auxiliary LEDs as well if you need them e.g. as an emergency flasher or if you do any map reading/astronomy/astrophotography work, the red is useful to maintain your night vision better
My go to recommendation for cheap but good quality headtorch that meets your requirement is the Sofirn SP40.
