$20 Discount Coupon for Camera Paradise

33
febgiveaways20

I received this discount code back in February after making an order from Camera Paradise. It's valid between 16/04/2012 - 31/04/2012.

Unfortunately you can only use one promotional code at a time, therefore the current $10 discount code (CP_AUD_10) is not valid when used with this one. (so only $20 off, not $30)

  • These guys tend to have pretty high shipping costs. ~$90 for a body from memory.

They ship from paradise that's why. :P

  • For a Canon 50mm 1.8 II - cost: 28.85 (What!?)

    Subtotal:28.85
    Discount Coupon:-20.00
    Shipping Cost:91.47
    Total:AU$ 100.32
    LOL

    • damn that's what i was looking for :(

      • That's what I looked at too :}

  • Yer. Shipping kills it! Shipping to hong Kong (Where they are based it seems) is $300 odd..

  • Something wrong with your end date too…unless there's something wrong with my calendar. 31/04 doesn't exist.

      It does in Paradise.

    • Oh yeah… FAIL

That is the date on the email from them though, but I didn't pick that up myself…..

  • 1- Opening that crappy website took a while.
2- Shipping costs are so high that even with 2 of these discount coupons, it wouldn't be worth buying.
    3- No deal.

  • I know their shipping prices are stupid, but when I bought my 550D these guys were cheapest compared to everyone else. $650 for the body + kit 18-55 lens, 50mm 1.8 II lens, spare battery and including delivery within 48 hours…

I ordered now a few times from CameraParadise and have only positive experiences with them.
Ordered on a Friday … received on Monday (from HK!!!). Service is great - my emails got replied within a day.

The only downside is that you do not know the exact price straight away: The shipping costs are too high (even when you combine products they don't go down a lot). They also charge payment processing fees for Paypal and CC payments (around 2%) … so not ideal.

But even when you factor these surcharges in they still have very competitive prices. So + from me. So a $20 off coupon is more than welcome … thanks …
(Compare the prices with dwi … they are sometimes cheaper … sometimes not … ).

(@bonus999: Where do you get the lens cheaper than $100.32 or $103 when you factor in the payment fees. Kogan is 119 … DWI is 119 … so not sure why you say "lol" … I would say it is a OK deal. )

    • I've seen them for as low as $80. JB has them for $96. (Though they have delivery fee….)

      • JB is $111 (inclusive delivery). So Camera Paradise is still the cheapest … (this lens might have been on 80$ … but this deal is not available at the moment … or do you have a link and can buy it for this price). So when you are looking for this lens where do you buy it at the moment??? A negative vote for the best deal available at the moment … don't get this. I agree it is not a huge he discount … but better than nothing :-).

By the way I had this lens … go for the 1.4 when you can afford it :-)

        • The neg is more about the clearly inflated shipping… I'm not looking at getting a 50, the only reason I picked it is because it's the cheapest lens, and if it was $30-40 I would get it. In regards to getting it cheaper, I haven't been looking at them, but if you go down to Elizabeth Street I can't see why you wouldn't be able to pick one up for under $100.
