It has been a few weeks since a proper discount can be found for Nespresso compatible pods. Just found out that Amazon has the Lor Onyx intensity 12 available. 200 pods for $67.77 works out to be around 34 cents per pod. I noticed a few Ozbargainers were looking for discount pods to replenish their stock. Hope this post will bring a little smile in the morning. Well, the kind of smiles that only Ozbargainers get! Cheers!

If you prefer dark roasts, you may like these (or to have it with milk).

For those who prefer lighter roasts, with a bit more acidity (usually to have as an espresso without milk), the Columbia L'Or pods with the lower intensity are better.

I got a previous deal with 200, almost finished them. They were fine but I need a change for a little while.

    • I have had them for a while as well. Any recommendations?

I usually buy Nespresso pods, but it’s to each individual taste I guess haha

      • I’ve got a couple of boxes of Illy. I’ve never had before so can’t review yet. They’re not that cheap (about 69c a capsule) but have heard they’re really good. Not really a bargain but I just have a small amount until I wait for a deal.

  • Which brand/line of pods work with the L'or machines? I'm always confused with all the different kinds.

    • +1

I use them on the Nespresso machine we have in our office staffroom so I'm guessing anything marketed as Nespresso compatible should work with the L'or machines.

  • What is the best before date for these?

  • They have 100 for $29 on every prime day and black friday at least. Make sure to stock enough In Between.

    • Would you know when the next prime day is?

      • +1

        July.

  • Coles also have them at $0.49/pod. The Amazon ones at $98 are also going for $0.49/pod

  • Just wondering if anyone has used reusable pods and fill them with your own ground coffee?
    Any suggestions for reusable pods?

    • There are plenty of products, using different systems to reuse the pods. Some people claim they work wonders and some said they are just not up to the task. After reading a number of reviews, my conclusion at this point is that the most reputable reusable pods are mediocre at best. And if they are loaded wrongly, the result can just be equally as bad as the worst pods out there. No coffee crema, less taste, less aromatic…etc. Unless there is a keen interest to experiment and spend some money doing so, I decided to conform to most people and simply buying third party compatible pods with proper seal. 34 cents a pod isn’t ideal but i guess I can live with it. Although this particular deal is expired, I am pretty sure it will come up again soon!

      • Thanks for the info. I am not into much experimenting.
I guess will stick to pods.

  • for pods I highly recommend urban brew, I have a monthly subscription and they are great!
