Unmetered Data Discontinued on Optus Mobile Broadband Data Prepaid SIMs

Optus has discontinued the unmetered data for it's prepaid mobile broadband data SIMs as of 19-Jan-2022, i.e. Epic Data and My Prepaid Ultimate Plus.

It previously allowed 10GB of unmetered data per 28 days from Netflix, Stan, ABC iView, ABC Kids and ABC ME.

For Netflix at the lowest video quality this equated to 33 hours of viewing.

For the 40GB Epic Data SIM, the base data has increased from 35GB since about a year ago.

Optus currently has a special until 31-Jan-2022 for the 40GB Epic Data SIM for $10 (usually $30).

  I think they mean 10gb in addition to your normal allowance for specific sites.
