Are Inner Pots of Zojirushi and Tiger Rice Cookers Durable?

There were comments that the inner pots of Cuckoo rice cookers are not durable. They need to be replace after two or three years. I am wondering what the situations are for those of Zojirushi and Tiger Rice Cookers?

My Tiger one is at least 10 years old and is like new.

Don't rinse the raw rice in them and they'll last ages

    • I didn't know that scratched them up. How do you rinse?

        Have a seperate bowl?

Been using our Tiger for 5 years now and still as new. Wash rice in a stainless steel bowl and use bamboo utensils.

I rinse raw rice in my tiger cooker and I CAN see swirl patterns emerging. Other than that it’s quite good.

Have been using a Zojirushi rice cooker for a few years, now the pot is still holding up perfectly fine.

Haven't ever washed the rice in the pot itself, normally just use a separate one to wash the rice in.

    • Where to buy Zojirushi in Australia, please.

If you don't wash your rice inside the pot it should last a long time. This goes for any brand. Try to get a proper rice washing bowl like these:

Edit: You may or may not want to get one with the holes on the bottom. I got an OXO one with holes on the bottom and my wife doesn't like/use it. I thought it was a good idea. :(
