Not the cheapest price, but still good. Cheapest was $279 in March 21, but seems to be an outlier. General sale price is around $399 as per ozbargain. Anyone have any idea on the quality?

I purchased one in early 2021, then they went on special again for $279. I emailed SCA asking them to put the difference on my account, and to my surprise they did it as a once off gesture.

It has been running non stop in my Land Cruiser since. I have it set at -2 and it keeps all the beers and soft drinks perfectly cold.

I purchased a deep cycle battery a week later as the one that was in there had been in the car since I purchased it.

      Would 100% recommend these fridges.

Have had an EvaKool fridge/freezer over ten years, never missed a beat, still performing without an issue

  • Quite a bit of stock in Perth of these, they did come up in my recent searching for a 12v fridge as they seem pretty well priced.
There's also a couple of the 80L for $599 on clearance floating around

Gets cold very quick. Makes very little noise.
Just remember it's a fridge or freezer, one temp for both compartments.
If you want to run it at home for a BBQ, get one of these: https://www.jaycar.com.au/12vdc-7-5a-switchmode-power-supply…
Had mine running from Christmas Eve to new year day. The Jaycar device fan is loud af though.

  • I got mine for this price on boxing day, I didn't post as I saw that it was once cheaper. a few weeks later my misso rolled my car with the fridge inside. The lid came off and you'd expect given the bashing it took but I was able to just put it back on and it still functions perfectly fine when it had every right to break. Tough and great value
    Made in Australia too!
only downside is it doesn't come with a 240volt wall plug adapter but I think you can buy one somewhere

  • Seems decent for a very very basic fridge - may need to factor in $$ for a 240v socket and a cover depending on use.

Realistically your looking at $600+ generally for anything half decent- however i love the features of the kickarse 75 dual zone for $799 if your jumping up to that bracket and size - very well though out with plenty of features.

    • I just saw this deal and was about to say the same. I bought the 80l one then bought the 240v cable from Jaycar for $50 and damn the cable is noisy - is that normal?
