Would this version of Stellaris work with add ons from Steam?

    • +2

      I don't believe so.

You will have to install mods from Nexusmods rather than workshop.

      • Awesome, thank you

    • +2

you can use steam workshop downloader to download the steam addons
then apply to the correct folder

I use this method for playing Darkest Dungeon from epic store, but not guaranteed to work the same way with Stellaris

Does anyone know if any of these games are from the more popular launchers or are they all prime launcher?

    • +3

I added a note on the post:

Once the Prime Gaming webpage gets updated around Feb 1st, instructions on how to specifically claim each game (e.g. via Steam / GOG / Epic Games / Prime Gaming launcher / perhaps some other method) should be posted at that time … and I'll edit the post accordingly.

    • It looks to me like these might be the launcher games as there are not enough listed to include the extra key games if its the same as most months which are 8 - 10 games.

    • +1

I'm not entirely sure, but the games you install from Prime Gaming are DRM free. You can add the .exe to Steam, and when you run it, the Amazon launcher doesn't run.

I haven't checked in a while, but that's how it was for me maybe a year ago or so when we got Yooka Laylee.

  • stellaris wouldn't be worth it if it doesn't work with expansions on steam. would be too expensive if you wanted to upgrade in the future

Quite underwhelming compared to January’s PC games

    • +1

Last month the list before the release didnt include the the 3 non prime launcher games also so there is a good chance to be extra bigger titles.

Edit: Actually the list last month i saw was a leak this is official it might be a bad omen but we can hope still. Pretty sure EA promised an origin game for prime for a while into the future unless that has ended also.

  • That's excellent! I've been waiting for Stellaris to be offered for ages. Now just Hearts Of Iron remains to be given away.

  • Almost bought Stellaris literally 1 click before seeing this post. Thank **** I didn't!!!!

  • Damn that's super disappointing.

This is what we've received in the last 6 months, a pretty top tier selection of games. A comment I made at the start of the month:

Star Wars Fallen Order, Total War Warhammer and World War Z Aftermath this month, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, Football Manager 21, Frostpunk and Journey to the Savage Planet last month, Control Ultimate Edition, Dragon Age Inquisition, Rise of the Tomb Raider the month before, Star Wars Squadrons, Alien Isolation, Ghostrunner in October.

Then in the scattered months before that, they gave us Battlefield 1, Battlefield V, Battlefield 4, then all the stuff on their own games launcher like Lost Horizon 2, Sam and Max, Batman TellTale, Tales of Monkey Island, Yoku Island Express, Secret of Monkey Island, Puzzle Agent 1 and 2, Stubbs the Zombie all within the last 6 months.

Now we're back to shovelware that we started with last year.

I take it you only get the current Month's free games to keep - not all the previous free ones too?

Is there a list of all the available pc games to play with membership (can't find one)?

Do we just use the US site as I can't find an Au version?

    cheers

Guessing this starts later today? Maybe 4-6PM if we're going off US time.

    • Yeah I just on to check and can't see them. If it is anything like Epic games it will be 2-3am tomorrow

Better set another reminder for tomorrow :)

  • Stellaris - redeem via GOG.
