Carpet Installation Advice

We would like to replace existing carpets for a house recently purchased.

Would anyone be able to give some recommendations for carpet installers in Sydney?

What are some things I should look out for? Am I able to just give the rough dimensions of the rooms we want carpeted or do they need a techician on site to take measurements? Is there a long lead time for stock and labor due to covid?

    You visit a carpet store
You choose the type / style / colour you like
The store send out a staff member to measure your rooms
The carpets are prepared ( joined offsite if a large room)
You make sure all the furniture is out
The installer turns up and removes old carpet and install new carpet

i think you need to go with him and hold his hand.

      • That's not my hand….

  • google is your friend.
search it and you will find local business close to you to get a FREE estimate.

  • remove the old carpet yourself if you can… save some money..

Parent in laws just had carpet installed, there were lengthy delays but might get lucky depending on supply and what colour option you go with

  • Make sure your ‘that guy’ who has moved zero furniture on the day of install 👍
