Meross 3 Door Smart Opener $65.85 Delivered @ Meross

270

I bought the single homekit unit and it works great. I didn't buy this kit because it was more expensive at the time.

Now this one is cheaper, delivered.

Controls 3 doors

Also compatible with Apple HomeKit, Siri, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant

Includes three cables for each garage door.

I think there might be a 5% off code somewhere

AU PLUG expired, but you can buy any other plug and replace with your own 5V usb power plug

i am confused, which one of these doors is the car and which ones are the goats?

  • +1

    I don’t have 3 garage doors 😵‍💫

Have the single Meross HK opener and very happy with it.

    • I have 2 doors, but just bought the single unit. Wish I had bought this one…

I use this model at home. Love the timer auto close feature. We had an issue where we'd forget to close the garage so having the unit automatically start a timer whenever the door opens is a great help. Door is then closed once the custom set timer runs out

  • So this one is a better version of the previous meross. Do you know the shipping time?

    • +1

This one you can control up to 3 doors with one unit. I think the software and setup are the same.

I bought the single HK unit, it was sent from China, arrived in 3 wks (stuck in Syd for 2 of those 3 wks!!).

Missed out the last version with HomeKit. This one is even better and with HomeKit too. Ordered one. Thanks OP

  • Is it able to connect back with home assistant?

    • It could be added through the HomeKit Controller integration.

    • Yes, don't need Homekit integration either. There's a meross integration, and also a HACS Meross integration that offers a few better features.

  • For those who has used it i have a gliderol garage door. Do i need to have sensors on the side installed or can i just attached to the motor

    • +1

      Check motor compatibility here

Personally not sure if you can do without the sensors. It won't know if it's open or closed, so notifications of 'open' or 'closed' would be wrong. but I don't see why it wouldn't just trigger your garage door motor to activate.

    • +1

You need the sensors, be it a roller or panel garage door, no other way for the unit to know if the door is open / closed without them.

  • I have the single garage door already, but seriously considering this as my wifi connection in the garage can be sketchy at times (though the last firmware update has done wonders for connectivity), but this looks like it had a much better antenna on it

  • Anyone knows if its compatible with gliderol?

      • The page could not be found …

        • Computer says no…

        • Try on desktop. Link ok with my desktop

    • Yep. Use it with my Gliderol garage door.

Would you please Kindly show me how you connected to your motor ? The wires ?

        • yes I need to know this too.

        • +1

I have a Glidermatic (made by Gliderol) that i just figured out and tested is compatible. The instructions below are not for my door, but the connection panel is the same.

Have a look at page 13 of the document below where it talks about installing an external wall switch. The GND and _ o _ symbols on the connection pannel can be shorted by a bit of wire to open and close the door. This should be how you hook this wifi system up.

          Link: https://www.gliderol.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/GTS20…

You will need to lift the cover off to test. Just be careful around the 240V sections. The rest is max 24v.

Damn I got the single one only a month ago.

avoid if you only have one door, i had this and got rid of it, apple car play randomly decided to change the door ports sometimes, pain in the butt. hopefully this has been fixed with whatever firmware update. get the single door one if you have one door.

    • +1

      Good to know, thanks

    • Yeah heard about that issue. They really need a firmware update to disable unused doors

  • Can I use this to control two different garage doors with different brands/models?

  • +1

Woohoo - been eyeing one of these puppies up for ages!

No more Wifey getting mad at me for leaving the garage open over night :)

  • any chance you might remember where you saw the 5% code?

I think there might be a 5% off code somewhere

    • +1

Sorry mate, can't remember where I saw that… But this price is good anyhow!

      • thanks. ordered one. will be useful to close the garage door when hands are full and will no longer scared my young kids for forgetting to close the garage overnight again

  • +1

Thanks OP, been waiting to get one of those for a while

  • https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/connect-smart-remote-gara… - I got one of these recently and its pretty good.

The Meross one looks a little better with the sensor of Open/Shut. But is also wired sensor…..

  • Does this support alerts if the door is left open to long

  • AU adaptor is sold out, I'm guessing we would be ok with the US adaptor and use any old USB plug lying around?
Anyone suggest any other alternatives to this? We have a Control-a-door 4 and Control-a-door S

    • Video here
shows the plug is a USB 5V-1000mA so I'm going to chance it.

  • I got the single door Meross opener. Works well. Wish I can open the garage door using Google Assist without it asking for the pin code.

    • I don't use google eco system but worth researching if you can create a routine that includes the garage door that may allow you to bypass the pin requirement.

  • Our gliderol matadoor garage door system never seems to be on the compatibility list of these devices.
    Bugger!

    • Have a look at my post above, if the internals are similar (with that connection panel) it may be compatable, just not on the list. Mine wasn't listed either, but it should work from the testing i have done.

      • Ok, Thank you :).
        Emailed them to see

        • -1

Use the wire / paperclip trick to see if compatible

  • Anyone got theirs shipped yet?

    • I got a 'Your item has shipped' email Tuesday, but tracking just shows 'Shipment information received'

      • My single unit was stuck in Sydney for 2 weeks. Yours should eventually arrive

  • So anyone installed theirs yet??
