Want to buy it for my madza 2 so would really appreciate anyone who has this to comment if it works on this model of car ?

    • ha - same q, same car

wish they just built these into the dash

  • This is seriously not a good idea. Phones and lithium batteries hate heat.
A better solution are the air vent mounts- cold air blowing on your phone on a hot day keeps things cool.

I don't disagree but I'm often worried about the opposite - the air coming out the AC is around 2-4'C which is way too cold for lithium batteries - any experts want to add to this discussion?

I would be incredibly happy if my 2000 Toyota could pump out air at 4 Celsius

      • it's not the cold you'd have to worry about, more the heat for when you crank the heater up in winter. Heat doesn't go well with batteries/electronics.

      • what sort of car you got that have AC pumping out 2-4c cold air?

      • Simple, Close off the vent that the phone holder is on…

  • Have one of these. Useless for me as my phone screen gets polarized/ invisible when viewed through sunglasses in landscape orientation. Do check before buying.

    • Polarised??
Can check Your polarised glassed by turning one 90deg from the other
“I think” this might be what’s happening

  • iPhone, iPad, iPod and Apple Watch work best at 0° to 35° C (32° to 95° F) ambient temperatures. Storage temperature: –20° to 45° C
