Contact details - If you can't find the business address or contact number of the business you have purchased boots from, who will help you with customer issues.
There are so many sheepskin boots out there claiming to be 100% Australian Made. How can you tell one authentic boot from the rest?
What to ask your retailer when buying your sheepskin products.
Where are your skins from?
Where are they processed?
Are the boots hand cut, hand stitched, hand glued in Australia?
Ask for the address of manufacturer and tannery. There should be no reason why your retailer cannot provide you with details of the origin of your boots.
All Ugg Australia® products are 100% Australian made at our factory and ecologically processed at our Roman Tannery in Laverton North, Melbourne.

We encourage all customers to do some research when looking to purchase any brand of Ugg Boots

    also

Ask for the address of manufacturer

OP are the soles of your scuffs made in Australia?
Is the thread used to stitch the sole to the rest of the scuff made in Australia?
Is that little label which says Ugg Australia, made in Australia?

have asked these questions before, and they remain unanswered

There should be no reason why your retailer cannot provide you with details of the origin of your boots.

hoping you will answer the questions this time around :)

  • Interesting.. I bought some EMU Australia boots a couple years ago and was told by that sales person that UGG is US brand name. They must bot have stocked "UGG Australia" boots. So Australia does have UGG boots just they are called "UGG Australia"? if I needed more vs going with EMU?

      UGG is US brand name

If I am not mistaken this is true for the rest of the world, but does not apply to Australia

so virtually anyone can make and sell Ugg boots in Australia

but even OP, despite making them and calling them Ugg boots in Australia, cannot sell them overseas as Uggs

which is why at his international online store ugg mini boots are not called ugg mini boots
happy to be corrected if wrong
      https://sheepskindownunder.com/collections/mens

they do not have the Ugg name

      • I'm pretty sure you're right, we were doing UGGs here first so we get to keep the name but elsewhere in the world it's a trademarked term for one specific company.

I think it's kinda like how we have Hungry Jack's here because back in the day when Burger King wanted to invade we already had a pre-existing Burger King and that guy got to keep the name

and that guy got to keep the name

          learn something new everyday :)

          as per this article https://www.cbc.ca/radio/undertheinfluence/why-it-s-hard-to-…

Hungry Jack's is a Canadian owned franchise
in the 90s that guys trademark on Burger King expired
there were dozens of Burger Kings opened in Australia by Burger King USA (and I wonder if the burgers were then better at Hungry Jacks)
Hungry Jacks took Burger King to court and won, it now owns the Burger King trademark in Australia

Bought the men’s and women’s slippers in may last year and the quality is pretty shocking. All the wool has come off n worn out. I’ve had many Ugg slippers in the past and none of them wore out within the year! Wrote to them and they basically said they can’t do anything about it.
