    There is no honest way to say ours are better than the Philips. However, you won't find any Osram 40W G9 Halogens online for cheaper than what we already have them for at the moment.

    Despite that, we listen to our community, and will offer to match Bunning's price per bulb until our competitors price changes again.

  I have tried to find out he LED version of these but the bulb size is always bigger and protrudes out of the light.

  Halogen bulbs are vastly inferior to LED:

  • Halogen generate a lot of heat, which makes your room hotter

  • Halogen use way more power than LED

    Halogen has one big redeeming feature - being CRI (colour rendering index) of 100, LEDs are still some way away from this. A houseful of halogens produces beautiful light to the human eye - albeit unsustainably :)

    Sometime the size of the bulb is not right with led in enclosed light. They don't fit that is

      I suppose though that given these can get hot, an oven is a good place for them.
