    no

    • anymore details other than no? i did just notice that the cpu is a bit old.

  • 6800XT is closer to an RTX 3070 and lacks nVidia’s well-progressed tech like DLSS which is quite a beneficial boost in gaming nowadays.

The rest of the build falls in the “meh” category. It’s fine. Nothing special.

I would want a decent CPU cooler than stock AMD one personally.

Would be surprised if it came with full versions of Windows and Office. That’s very uncommon. Uninstall AVG first boot-up.

    • im still debating buying it. you can get a 3080 for $200 more

  • No. Is you're set on buying it go ahead, but everyone here will tell you that's not a great deal no question

  • Use?
The CPU is old and even a 5600X may be cheaper and more useful if, for example, gaming …https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ij6UxKtdU14
Also, if for gaming, the memory is slow, can get similar price but 3600Mhz …
Also, if for gaming, a cheaper B550 mobo is enough …
Also, if for gaming, money saved on mobo/cpu could be used for a better cooler …
Also, if for gaming, GPUs are slowly coming down and next gen cards are almost here (meaning waiting a couple months may drastically improve value/performance)
If buying a GPU right now, try to get some of those deals on the front page (3070 Ti ~ $1300), DLSS is extremely useful when upgrading monitors ..

Problem is the cpu is a terrible choice. The faster 5800x is about $500 these days and Intel 12th gen is generally the better bang for buck performance, you’d be better off with a 12600k for even less.

The GPU isn’t as fast as a 3080 and those are coming down below $2k now. While some benchmarks will put them similar, the 3080 pounds the 6800xt into the dust with DLSS and anything involving ray tracing.

So while it would cost you about the same to get those specific parts, you could get the same performance for less. And some bits are worth spending more on, like a better ssd.

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that motherboard doesn't support thunderbolt, and if it does gigabyte have forgotten to mention it in the boards page.

As far as I know only Intel boards have thunderbolt.
