  How good a price is it really?
  Yes I know it's probably the 'best' priced Aussie stock right now … but didn't Dick Smith have a similar 550D package a month ago for $150 less than this?

    No it hasn't they have three models in the beginner 600d then 550d and 1100d.

      For all intents and purposes it has been replaced. The 600D is basically the same camera with slight improvements (swivel screen, wireless flash, etc.).

      Not that the 550D is bad - I bought one of the Dick Smiths ones. But then that was quite a bit cheaper than the 600D and even cheaper than imports. This isn't.

    is it an aussie stock ? Is the warranty from Canon Australia? My understanding is NO !

        @DeviousChicken…I am not sure if you have gone through the details of eglobal..here is the extract from their website "..eGlobaL is a Hong Kong based online store.." …."Please note that all our products are imported goods and will not come with manufacturer's warranty but instead we will cover the warranty by our own company."

        all their cameras are grey stock and are not covered by Canon Australia..whereas the stock from Myer is Aussie stock and is covered by canon Australia !!

      yes it's 100% Canon Australia stock. with Australia and NZ warranty.
