This was by far the biggest let-down in the history of modern action cameras for me.

The design is fantastic, it's modular and so brilliantly compact. You can literally carry the camera around, snap it on your fivehead and when you're done, put it on your chain. An urban concreter's delight.

    Everything else is a CON.

    1. Up to 70 minutes of battery life
    2. 32GB built-in storage capacity
    3. 10M without a waterproof case, and if you put one on, you can't use the modular battery attachment

Why would anyone want something that's so badly hamstrung over a GoPro HERO10, or better yet, the OG DJI Osmo Action?

I can live with the 32gb built in storage.

      The biggest pro for me:
      1/1.7” sensor.

I would buy one. But not at $600

  • Even with 70 minutes of battery life, the device overheats in less than 5 minutes at 4K resolution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuQFgYmj4FE
So, it is quite an expensive piece of junk to me.

    • Wow, didn't the osmo action have overheating problems too?

      • +1

Pretty much all action cameras with small form factor operating at high resolution and FPS have such issue.

    • Crap, thought that was a GoPro issue only. Got my hopes up for a second.

  • Thanks for posting the deal! Am in the market for one of the action camera

Heard that new firmware may have resolved the overheat issue - do we know if this is the case?

    • It does to a certain degree. However it does depend on the ambient temperature. The couple of week in Australia isn’t going to help.

    Cons:
    -Battery life
-Battery is built into the main unit unless you add the other module which adds bulk and not waterproof when connected with 2 modules
-No removable lens cover so when it’s scratched, it’s in the bin
    -Overheating issues
-Being alloy it isn’t durable like the original Osmo Action
-No built in thread (only magnets)
-Too fragile to be an “Action” camera and probably only good for city vloggers

Do not buy! You will make the biggest mistake ever. I own one of these and it overheats in under 5 mins with max resolution settings. New firmware does bugger all to stop the overheating.

    • This is the major downfall for me, I love the compactness.

      • Same! The form factor is amazing. It looks unreal.

  • This is what you call. WTF-ingF.

Wish version of Gopro10 or should I say gopro3

  • What a bummer from all the comments. Was really looking for the next DJI action camera to replace an aging GoPro….

Should of gotten the DJI Action when it was $299. All these action cameras are so expensive now.

  • Nearly pulling the trigger - just checking - Will this under electronic (0%) or camera (4%) category?

On the top left it seems like amazon suggest it is under electronic so wanna to confirm please 🙏🏼🙏🏼
