The New 2022 Green Electricity Guide Is Here - Will It Influence Your Decision on Utilities Company?

The new 2022 Green Electricity Guide just got released today: https://www.greenelectricityguide.org.au/

Granted this is still OzBargain, so price is likely still the king (?). But are you still interested in looking through the companies the next time you research to switch?

Hmm, I'm no Greenpeace hippie but that's pretty damning for AGL energy… Probably should switch.

    • I don't know how you got negged so fast lol… (here a positive vote)

no difference in price im all for green - otherwise what ever is cheapest

whatever the climate change army say the only way the world is going to be 'greener' is if the masses adopt a greener approach and that will only happen if it makes business/financial sense.

although i am with 'Red Energy' it is nice to see the green side of the curve

Red Energy is not the cheapest.

Snore. Don't care. I'm in SA. AGL is going to pull its mix from whatever is happening in the region. Picking these renewable plans isn't giving you only green energy nor is it accelerating renewable uptake.
It is costing you more however.

    • None of that is true. That's never been how it works. And AGL isn't going anywhere.

Makes no difference to me. I export far more electricity to the grid than I consume.

Another poll option - "Yes, it has already informed the decision about our current energy provider"

That being said we recently moved from Diamond Energy (#2) to Amber Electric (#8) after Diamond reduced their solar FiT and Amber provided a relatively significant cost reduction through their subscription model, with minimal environmental impacts.

  • Glad to see mojo in top 10 since they are the best rates by far for my area
